I can certainly see why those that are in the camp of "Get him if at all possible without giving up the farm and let's roll the dice we can re-sign him" would take this as "nothing new".... and still want him.

It's a LITTLE bit different than just saying he dosen't want to be traded here. It's understandable that he'd like to play in Brooklyn or L.A. moreso than here.

But, now... to say he'll walk to DALLAS... "into their cap space"... basically saying he'll take less to play in DALLAS.... that brings out that side of me that's been saying "Screw him... let's move on" or "Get Bynum instead"...lol.

It doesn't change the fact I think he WOULD re-sign here for the extra money and extra year. I think he could be convinced in a year's time. But, it DOES aggravate the sh-- outta' me!

Sean Highkin: The only leverage Dwight has left is Vince Cartering the first half of the season, and he doesn't want that. 1 minute ago

Had enough of this child Howard....

Lets move on.....trade Martin/Morris a second round pick for Igudola...

    Lin
    Igudola
    Parsons
    DM
    Asik

I think we can make playoffs... with that lineup up

He might not be bluffing. If he's willing to leave $30 million on the table to leave Orlando for Dallas, he'll be willing to do the same to us.

It's all agent talk. I'll believe it when I see it. No Max player has EVER walked away from a team to sign a 4 year deal. Lebron, Bosh did sign and trades to get the 5th year but next season you get do that anymore per new CBA.

How do those comments not scare you even a tiny bit. The thought of him walking, yikes!

I'm willing to take the risk. The only reason Dwight's camp is playing the Mavs card is the known fact that Dallas was on his original list last December, when they were the defending champs and before that team had been dismantled. Now? Their future looks worse than Houston's, and they don't have any brighter of a stage. Just think it through - there's absolutely no logical reason for Howard to go to Dallas. It's simply the only card they have left to play against Morey.

Seriously, Ken? Please. It's been pretty well documented throughout this process that the Lin/Asik situations had little to do with their offer for Dwight.

His agent is saying all this because howard prefers los angeles. This is nothing new. If we trade for him i think it is a 90% chance he signs the extension with us.

    Trade for Dwight........all day, everyday.

The more I read tweets like that, the more I want us to get Howard. to give the middle finger to his camp and 'experts' like buchner and broussard.

[rquoter]Today's mtg between D12 and Hennigan had no talk about the Magic's future plans, including the coach, a source told the OS.

D12 made it clear he has no desire to return to Magic. So he saw no need to discuss the team's future -- or the new coach.

The source also said the Magic didn't try, per se, to convince D12 to stay. Hennigan said he wanted to build trust w/Dwight.[/rquoter]

If the Rockets don't trade for Howard, I'm ok with that. But I sure as hell don't want the Rockets to help get Howard to LA. Keep our young players instead. We don't need Bynum.

For those of you saying he doesn't care about the extra 30 million why do you think he decided to OPT-IN this past season. That 30 million is important as it should be. You think he would leave houston to a dallas team that is on the decline......give me a break.
