Most GMs are now in London, Dwight is put in the garage.

I know it's been said, but of course he doesn't want to EXTEND when he stands to make millions more allowing his current contract to expire and signing an entirely new deal.

Seems like nothing more than careful wording to me.

Jarrod Rudolph: Sources: Magic GM Rob Hennigan had hour-long meeting with Dwight Howard today in LA. Howard reiterated his desire to be traded as soon as possible. about 6 minutes ago

I have a question for Rox fans

If Magic keeps Dwight until trade deadline, will the Rockets be willing to rent Dwight even for half a season?

This is basically what I thought it would be. Hennigan went over to LA to say, "Look Dwight, we have a deal for you in place. You will be traded. However, I just wanted to extend one last olive branch and let you know that we would love to have you back. No hard feelings....a fresh start for all involved. I'm not SVG. I'm not Otis. I'm not the same Orlando brass that you had problems with. I'm new here, and I think we could get along great together. What do you say?"

    Leverage GONE buddy

You better be prepared to accept Morey's offer yesterday Hennigan. It's only going to get worse the longer you wait.

All right I'm really beat. Hope I wake up to "Rockets close to acquiring Dwight Howard" and "Dwight Howard will seriously consider re-signing in Houston after season ends".

I understand this creates leverage for Morey, but with the rookies signed, surely there won't be a deal that involves the Rockets anytime soon?

They can reach an agreement anytime. Deal wouldn't become official for 30 days if a rookie involved.

If it makes morey miss the women synchronised swimming game, he probably will farther lower the offer.

You have to wait one month for Rookies if I am not mistaken.

He stands to make millions more than what? Because if he were to allow his contract to expire and sign with someone else he would actually be losing millions

Isn't this a bad thing? If they sign Bynum to an extension can't they trade him to Orlando? Now Orlando would get him signed as opposed to on his last year. Can he be traded after an extension?

    Edit: What fleecysphere said.

    Tomorrow? Not likely. :p

I think we're in a holding pattern here, now.

Maybe they can agree to a deal in principle but have to wait?
