    When you have 9,000 new threads on Dwight Howard non-trade rumors, or threads about how we should trade for [insert random free agent benchwarmer here], or proposals to trade Kevin Martin for Lebron James, or suggestions that we should hire Phil Jackson as our coach, or one of a billion threads saying FIRE MAURY/I LOVE MURRAY ... then Courtney Lee getting traded to the Celtics, or our rookies signing their contracts, or something that actually matters can quite easily get buried in a deep layer of idiotic newbie blather.

    That's one of the main reasons why people care about it.

    Also, 200 new threads by rookies can easily give the impression that something has actually happened (and we all know how doofuses love to start threads titled LEBRON JAMES IS IN HOUSTON... and the first line of the post is "to get a burrito"), and that's frustrating. Another reason why people criticize stupid threads.

    People get a lot of information on the Rockets from Clutchfans. They are also huge Rockets fans who care about this site because it's a great place to talk about their favorite team. So, when some douche (who clearly knows next to nothing about the NBA) starts a thread about his brilliant plan to sign Kobe Bryant and includes a poll about "how many wins u think does we got w/ KOBE DA BEST", it's natural for people to get cranky and call that moron out.

    Think before you post, and if you can't do that .... then just shut the hell up and lurk. We'll all be better off for it.

    This thread needs to continue mainly because:

    1) Behad is in it and will provide some serious ownage
    2) the thadeus posted in it and it was actually something other than him bragging about a sexual conquest with a BBS poster's mother.

    Wouldn't it make more sense to just not post in those threads and let them just get pushed to the bottom? When the mods see that people aren't replying they can then just lock them up right?
