Looks like they're gonna sandwich Chase with two very good defenders, Rubio and AK-47. This is what I thought we should have done with him as well, play him at SG, surrounded by Lowry/Goran and Parsons. Expect Chase to look like dynamite up there and the Tpuppies have some teeth with a lineup of

    Rubio
    Chase
    AK-47
    Pek
    KLove

Today was a good day for the TWolves. Perfect coach for AK-47's temperment. He's gonna look like a killa up there. Don't understand Kahn being able to pull these deals out of his ... He's dumb as a box of rocks.

That team as currently constructed is going to challenge Adelman's Sactown teams as the best he's ever coached.

They can compete with GSW, Suns, Portland, and Utah for the bottom seeds.

As is any day when you're aren't forced to use your AK...

Starting Bud at SG makes little sense, because it would mess up the whole roster.

    Pekovic Stiemsma
    Love D.Williams
    Kirilenko Bud
    Roy Shved
    Rubio Ridnour

Kirilenko was beasting in Europe last year, but this sure seems like an overpay. Not by a few millions either. I mean, not only is Kirilenko not worth $10M, but who were the T-Wolves bidding against exactly?

    1. You're leaving out Barea. He will be backing up Rubio and Ridnour or Chase. One of Ridnour or Chase starts.

    2. The starting SG is either Ridnour or Bud, not Roy. They're gonna play Roy off the bench, especially early, and limit his minutes severely. Roy is NOT going to play major minutes. They are hoping to nurse him to the playoffs and use him for an extra thrust once they get there. If you think Roy is starting and playing 20-30 mpg, better rethink that one.

    3. You're primary 5 perimeter guys are going to be Rubio/Barea/Ridnour/Bud/Kirilenko. They are going to eat up the vast majority of the minutes, probably all 144 perimeter minutes. Shved is going to have to work himself into the rotation.

    4. They did not give up #18 to give Chase spot minutes. He knows Adelman, knows the system. He's either starting or playing first off the bench with Barea on the second unit.

    Everything else you got right.

Well, we'll have to disagree on that one then. Barea isn't very good. Certainly not better than Shved and I really don't think Roy will come off the bench. In a perfect world he would. But the T-Wolves roster isn't perfect. They may limit his minutes to some extent though.

You know, I do respect you as a basketballer. Surely you don't think Roy is going to get major burn. Surely you dont think his knee can withstand the rigors of 82 games at 20+ minutes. Surely?

Are they going to beat Utah for "whitest team in the league"?

Great pickup for Minny. I think they will easily make the playoffs, and then some.

Kirilenko was healthy last year and he had one of the most dominant seasons in FIBA basketball history, even above Scola's level and Luis was just dominant back there

I doubt it. The man has no cartilage left, no way he can play 15 minutes of intense b-ball for 82 games. Reggie Miller

I don't even know if Roy's knees will get him up a flight of stairs. I'm not watching much T-Wolves BB this season. I don't want to be watching when a train wreck happens to him. If I ever see another leg go like Livingston's I am going to puke.

I feel the same way about Roy. He was such a good player. I want to remember him as such, not remember him for a Dave Dravecky moment.
