In the past two years in 21 playoff games this past year Noah was hurt so Asik got significant time... Asik averaged 1.7 points 2.8 rebounds 33.3 free throw percentage and about 44% field goal shooting percentage... Rockets front office love stats so much then you gotta respect those too. Guy needs a lot of work just a fact.

He's an insider. Leave him alone or he'll go away and not provide us with obvious tidbits like the Bulls not matching.

So I'd say this proves Hennigan isn't a smart as people thought. Stupid money for a vet no one cared to go after in FA.

Puts Asik deal is perspective. Nice signing DM.

Besides Dwight that's the best he could do at the price he offered.

I'm assuming that he feels that's the going rate for a starting PG(somewhat similar to Lin/Dragic deals)...

It makes me feel that they're really not gonna trade Howard this summer. They had an oppurtunity at almost having a clean slate. It seems like the owner is meddling.

So maybe the PC isn't today as previously thought.

#Rockets GM @dmorey will spend next 10 days at the London Olympics, hence today's presser. Omer Asik will be made available later this week.

I think Morey is perfectly capable of pulling the trigger from London. :)

That said, there does seem to be something to the early August timeline. Between Hennigan's supposed visit to LA this week and/or vacation, the Amick report and the Motiejunas trade date, August seems to be where the momentum is.

At least one of the top prospects (Lamb, Motiejunas and maybe White) will be in a trade, if there is one. Let's not be silly.

I can see White or Jones. But not both, which is why all these reports of the Magic having offers they don't like, but may have to accept it if Dwight rejects them again.

lol.... didn't say he'd be as good as Deke.

I simply said Deke was NOT known for his offense either.

As good as Mutombo was, this guy is quicker with his lateral movement. Will he EVER be anywhere near as good as Mutombo, not likely.

But, while everyone is studying STATISTICS, he passes the eyeball test with flying colors.

I've said all along his main problem will be staying out of foul trouble. There's also been rumblings of tiring easily due to going all out all of the time.

If he's able to work on those two things, he will be fine and a force in the paint defensively.
