Gives me a reason to keep up with college basketball this year! :)

Can anybody provide us with a list of all the draft picks (1st and 2nd round) that the Rockets have coming to them with the next couple of years? I seem to remember that we have one coming from LA, Dallas, etc...

What do you expect? The Rockets are riding out with an unproven but popular PG in Lin, and a bunch of 1-2 year players. This is one of the youngest team in the NBA right now. They will struggle this year but its all about growing pains but expect the lottery pick would be nice and rewarding.

One can only hope this is how the standings come out. My fear is that even with a team full of youngsters, you would have to actively try to be worse than the worst five teams last year. It's no secret that Charlotte, Orlando, Detroit, and maybe Sacramento will be tanking from Game 1 onwards next season. We would have to win the lottery to get a better pick than theirs.

That's just how the NBA is these days I guess...

I'd put us in the 19-21 range personally.

Gutting your team of solid players, replacing them with bench warmers and rookies= bad team . The ranking is correct considering most teams improved while rockets gave away established players

I believe we'll shock the world with Lin, Lamb, Parsons, Motijunas, and Asik starting, and Livingston, Forbes, White, Patterson, and Jones contributing.

In other words, we'll barely miss the playoffs and draft 14th again.

But who knows? If one or more players up their game, if the rooks play like they played in SL, if Kevin Martin shows up, if Linsanity returns, if Asik never fouls out...

I wouldn't mind being 28 at all. We should be aiming for 30 imo.

The Rockets and the Raptors are too, he didn't even mention Bargnagni. But if it can end like that, great, 2 good lotto picks!

We're essentially an under-23 team; any of our rooks in rotation on a veteran squad would likely prove very positive (see: K Leonard). As a total unit it will be rough going.

But should be fun. (That's assuming that Dwight/Drew doesn't rebalance the whole roster.)

Nothing new with how analysts always place us. No matter how well we play they still choose to ignore us. I really could care less about those rankings...just as long as we're playing solid and fun basketball and of course winning.

I'm not bothered with the bottom of the rankings as much as I am the top.

    Knicks 7th? Nets 8th? Bulls 12th? Pacers 13th?

Those look like they are in reverse order, to say the least.

This is what happens when you have no superstar.

During Yao/Tracy era when they were adding talent around them every year, people always considered them among the best teams on paper.

We will suck next year bottom line, we lost every single one of our starters from last season outside of the rookie who started for us. Lowry gone, Lee gone, Luis gone, Camby/Dalembert gone. Martin is in McHales doghouse and if anyone of you is counting on him being productive than you must not have watched our season last year.

We may not be as bad as 28th but that is in the ballpark.

Some of you are acting like it is a bad thing, its not, we want to suck. We are not competing for championships in the next few seasons, we need to stock pile high lottery picks!

If we trade for Dwight that all changes ofcourse but I am not holding my breath for that deal and neither should anyone else.
