Man, Wes Johnson was the 4th overall pick 2 yrs ago and now Kahn is PAYING to get Wes off their payroll? AK would be a decent get for them, but this reeks of desperation to appease Love and Adelman.

I wonder if HOU should look into this one. An extra 1st rounder at the cost of taking on an (presumed) expiring contract should help the Howard pursuit, no? Also, now that we are done with 2009 lotto busts, room for 2010 lotto bust?

He already took in one Johnson (JaJuan), why not a second? That first round pick will make it go down easier.

Morey can get Johnson and pick? Why not pick Johnson Murray?

Many of them are in their way out soon. Morey works efficiently.

Wes Johnson only makes like $4 million, his is not a very large salary. We have cap space to fit in 2 more Johnsons if need be.

Morey: "Was the 4th overall pick you say? He was a bust you say? Willing to trade him for cheap you say? Just needs a fresh start you say? Has allstar potential you say? Might pan out in houston you say? I'll take him!"

Morey needs to put a plug in his assets. Don't want another leak like the Goran incident.

Unfortunately, we don't have any vacant holes on the roster for more Johnsons.

Damn... I remember the knock on him was that he was really old coming out of college (23) and not too explosive. Didn't expect them to give up on him so quickly, but I never saw him play in the NBA. Is he so bad that he can't develop into a Calbert Cheaney type starter?

I would like it, having Lamb and Johnson at the 2 isn't terrible and the 1st round pick would be great.

I remember the Tmac comparisons for this guy coming out of college haha. Even though he's a bust, I'd try to make this deal happen if I was Morey as long as we don't give up any significant pieces.

Since we might be trading a SF any ways it might not be a bad idea depending on the protection
