Where do you picture Rockets in 5 years

    With the aggressive roster move during the off season, with all the new players and the huge potentials of the Jeremys and white etc... I am really curious where will rockets be in 5 years.

    If these young players develop well and mesh well, I predict that the rockets' best case scenario in 5 years:

    1) 2012-2013: 8th seed in conference, 1st round exit
    2) 2013-2014: 6th seed in conference, 1st round exit
    3) 2014-2015: 4th seed in conference, 2nd round exit
    4) 2015-2016: semi-final
    5) 2016-2017: final

    What do you think? Give your thoughts below,

    With Morey at the Helm, our roster will be 100% different from our roster 3 years from now. Too hard to guess.

    Five years from now Morey will be collecting assets trying to trade for Howard again and Parsons will be or only current Rocket.

    Seriously though in five years we will be a playoff team but will not be able to reach the finals due to OKC and Memphis.:)

    Optimism is a horrible thing. If we do not sign Howard and ditch Martin at the trade deadline (completely discounting the FA market):

    2013 draft - top 5
    2014 draft - top 10
    2015 draft - 22th
    2016 draft - 27th

    If all these rookies end up being ballers, we may have a hard time keeping even half of them when all their contracts expire at the same time. :eek:
