Why in the world do people call him "Murray" instead of Morey?

 

They can try all they want but why would he want to play in Orlando. They can't do anything with all those horrible contracts.

 

Definitely don't believe that's the plan. Orlando has done absolutely nothing to make the team different as far as adding a great player.

 

He probably views that better than playing in Houston

 

They already tried to persuade him to stay once, he said No and still wanted to be traded.

 

That is his vacation trip LA. The Magic will make their final pitch to convince DH to stay and if he denies them again, I believe they will get a trade done. Damn one week.

 

This. They know they won't get full value back for him. Power play by Morey and I applaud him for it.

Because those people are disrespectful teenagers. I believe it started from someone in the Chinese media calling Darryl -- Murray instead of Morey. It has become sort of a meme here. But I would say that the joke is old and anything else is just disrespect.

No one has ever noticed how tight-lipped these guys are when it comes to most trades, draft targets, and some free agents when they choose to?

Most of the time we don't find out who they would target in a draft move up trade till a week after the draft. Then that's when their big board gets somewhat revealed. I also didn't expect to be chasing Lin after giving up on Dragic and Lowry. We had absolutely no idea that Sacramento was the 3rd team in the New York/T-Mac dump.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the other FOs around the league wish they could keep as much inside intel, INSIDE! :grin:

 

They've actually done the opposite, allowing Ryan Anderson (a promising young forward) to walk for almost nothing in return. You can't blame Hennigan for trying with one of the best players in the world, but if Dwight's priorities are what we think they are (contending, endorsements and contract money, and not necessarily in that order), I don't think 1 out of 3 will do it.

 

On going joke on this bbs. I'm not a fan of it, but it won't be ending any time soon.

 

This is the thing that comforts me as a selfish Bulls fan who wants him to stay with us. He has access to the best of the best to try and put some semblance to his offense. I know that he's gonna get the better training with you guys.

I hope he blossoms with you guys as a two way player and make the Bulls FO (and some fans) look like idiots.

Very excited to have a young legit 7 footer who blocks shots, plays great defense, and rebounds the ball. To me, that's worth $8 mil a year.

Even if we pull off a Dwight trade, I'm very happy to have Asik on this team. He's gonna take the next step and prove a lot of doubters wrong.

It might not be flashy to start your rebuilding process with Asik and Lin, but those two guys are only just starting to realize their potential, and to get them both for nothing? Pretty impressive.

 

In addition to the other answers, it's a sign of disrespect in most cases. Kind of a childish and sad approach...but true.
