Thread starts with a false premise. The Magic aren't keeping Howard, he will be a Rocket.

It's easy... take into account what we have v. what we need?

We have Martin and some PFs who absolutely must go. A. Martin wants out and B. the PF log jam needs to be alleviated.

So we ship them off for a need.

    What do we need?

Well, a center would be nice. Perhaps a vet?

We should sign our back up C either Whiteside or Fesenko and SG Randy Foye or Anthony Parker or Sasha Pavlovic and then release or trade: Simpson, Smith, Livingston, Brockman, Williams. and then make a trade for whatever or whoever. : Martin, 2Pat, Morris, & white. for a SG.

    Line up:

PG: Lin / Fortson / Douglas
SG: Lamb / Douglas / (FA: Randy Foye, Sasha, Parker)
SF: Parson / Forbes / Johnson
PF: Donuts / Jones / Johnson
C: Asik / Whiteside or Fesenko

my math is back-of-the-napkin at best, but I don't think we need to add much more than $4 million or so in salary to eke out the minimum of 49.337 million total salary, even assuming we cut all guaranteed money. this is based on getting asik and signing the rookies for an average of 1.8 million per this year.

    Good lord...

-what is the deal with Whiteside that has half of Clutchfans thinking he's the next great thing???...the dude is a 7 footer who got cut from the Kings... What does that say about him?

    -Foye signed with the Hornets

-What happened to Martin, Morris, Patterson, and Royce White??? Are you suggesting that they just cut all of those players to sign Whiteside or Parker????... Just Wow. Unbelievable.

Thats not what i am saying if you can read i wrote we should Trade them (Martin, 2Pat, Morris, White) for someone such as SG. with these young assets and a expiring contract we should be able to get someone good or 2 decent players.

Thanks for taking my post seriously. But this was intended to be a joke. All of the players on that list are power forward energy, supersonic...

What about Greg Oden? How is his recovery coming along? If he is getting close to recovering, he might be cheap enough to take a chance on.
