I find this hilarious. I spend a lot of my time with a die hard Knick fan and all he says is how the Knicks will be great next year. Granted he says that every year. It is just weird hearing what other non Knick fans think of his team. Definitely not well liked. I love it.

I worked with a diehard knicks fan...they are a delusional bunch.
put him in perspective. they were only two games better than our "crappy" Rockets team last year, and that was with Taiwan Tebow

Frankly speaking, the Knicks team was looking scary good on defense under Woodson. Top notch. Shutting teams down. The Knicks were routinely blowing teams out, with their starters on the bench in the fourth quarter in a good chunk of games. We'll just see how it goes. They're stacked though. No question.

yet a ton of posters thought Maury lost his mind for approaching gortat 2 hot summers ago.

Asik will be great for what he is brought here to do.

You obviously don't watch too much of the basketballz...

Gibson was a product of the LeBron James effect, drive to the whole, entire team cover LeBron, kick it out to the open shooter, B00bie Gibson. He is more of a chucker than Douglas and with absolutely no comparable defense to Douglas'.

I'd prefer Toney Doublas as our 2nd string PG.

This. I think Douglas' defense is severely underrated. I'm fine with him as the backup to Lin.

This would be the first true year of STAT and Melo together. A new defensive minded coach. Strong defensive team led by Tyson. A deep bench. Great shooters from deep. And the demise of STAT is crazily overblown. He was looking damn good near the end of the season. A completely different player from the beginning of the year. They'll miss Lin and Shump, though. Badly. If Felton can be decent and Shump can come back in a timely manner, they'll make a run for it. I really believe that.

UNLESS Lin was the link that held them together, and his replacements do not do a good job of building chemistry on that team.

Remember Lin, Melo, and STAT played only 8 games under Woodson, went 7-1, most of which were blowouts against playoff teams.

Ditto. Douglas doesn't have a true understanding of the flow of basketball as a PG should, but his defense and energy are always pretty solid. If he makes some shots, he can pass for a good PG to the less discerning eye.

He is very delusional. Every year they scream championship. They better win it all this year otherwise they are screwed. They are old, capped out and few tradable assets. Lol. Taiwan Tebow. That isn't even a fitting comparison. Lin is actually good and a legit starter.

Your sounding like my boyfriend. But you are right. They will be better next year. But I can't see them beating Boston or Miami. Woodson would get out coached by Doc Rivers or Erik Spoelstra.

So we got Lin, Lamb, White, Jones, D-MO, Asik and Parsons? What an offseason!

Agree. Put him out there with White in the rotation. Potentially a very nice pairing.

    Really excited about this!

He'll be the best rim protector and help defender this team has had in YEARS! We've grown accustom semi good defenders past their prime (Deke, Dalembert, Camby).

Get ready for a force on defense!!

I can see them beating Boston. Almost did last year, if not for Paul Pierce. Miami, though, that's another beast altogether.

Very true, finally get the D player that is getting to his prime instead of on the downside. I hope Dream can work with Asik in teaching some basic low post moves to improve his scoring from 3 per game to hopefully 10.

I have little confidence in Mike Woodson. Doc Rivers will out coach him. In the post season we saw Doc coming close to out coaching Spo. But yeah they do have a good shot with Jason Kidd now on the roster if he can stay sober. Kidd is like a coach on the floor.
