i doubt he makes the roster. we already have enough PG's. Lin, Douglas, Macado, Livingston, Fortson and one of those guys will get traded or released (not Lin obviously lol)
He got booted off the team for cheating or something. I think Courtney Fortson came in to run the point for Arkansas after he left to play overseas after the cheating scandal.
My only thoughts...Patrick was the "star" of Hoop Dreams 2 and thats all i know about him But the 1st Hoop Dreams is my favorite bball movie...you guys that haven't seen should check it out on netflix
I was going to school at Arkansas the same time this kid was on the team. He was a pretty solid scorer at the college level, but I don't really see much in him at thr NBA level. Pretty sure he would be a major chucker and turnover machine. He got kicked out of school for cheating. IIRC, Courtney Fortson was the freshman replacement for Beverley the next year. Fortson flamed out at Arkansas after a great freshman year. I'm honestly shocked that Fortson has even had this much play in the NBA.
We should pass on it. Since now we have Lin and he is more comfortable in pick n roll. and this guys weakness first thing is he cant play well pick n roll.
I'm also an Arkansas fan. There are definitely a ton of holes in his game, but I'll always love the kid for how hard he works and how tough he is. Typical Chicago kid when it comes to those two. I'll never forget when he had a 7 or 8 game stretch during his sophomore season when he averaged over 10 rebounds a game. Which is insane for a 6'1" guard in college. Pretty relentless in terms of defending, attacking the rim, and attacking the glass. I don't know how much he improved, but his tenacity could at least help the rest of our players during practice. Not much more you can ask out of a 15th man/minimum salary player.
