Warriors have Klay Thompson so i doubt that happens...Rockets will probably wait till the deadline to move Kmart
that list is depressing but look Fesenko is out there maybe Morey still goes after him, we do need a backup center
maybe we need one more Forward? http://www.nba.com/playerfile/yi_jianlian/ Watched him several times with the Toros in D-League and not bad at all either. Maybe he needs an asian friendly place to play. 7 footer too and only 24 yrs old.
We still have to move Martin and Morris. Martin and the Rockets F.O. are just to far apart to be mended back together. So I could see us trading him to a contender for a 1st round pick. I mean the guy can still produce at a high level. Not to mention that being an expiring contract he can give what ever team that attains him flexibility going forward. Ex; Hawks get Martin for Johan Petro and Anthony Morrow + Rocket's own pick. As for Morris, I don't think he's going to be very happy that the rook's will get playing time over him, despite the fact that they clearly out played him in SL. So moving Morris will probably have to be done. According to some reports Sacramento is also looking to move Jimmer Fredette, so there might be some interest in swapping failed draft picks.
What I would really love to see is Morey strike a deal with another team with the same assets he is offering up in the Dwight Howard trade for a player or two that we could all be excited about. I want to see him with the contract for the other deal in his hand and stand there with the pen to the paper and tell Hennigan "You've got 10 seconds to $hit or get off the pot. We both know I've got the best deal you're going to get for Howard so make up your mind. As soon as I sign this its all done. 10... 9... 8... ". Either way Rockets get better and Morey is happy and we are happy. Question is, who else out there besides Bynum (possibly) can we get with a similiar package of assets that would make us all happy?
If no Dwight deal happens before the season starts, I actually expect Martin to be our starting 2. I am guessing unless a deal morey can't refuse comes along he is going to hold on to Martin's expiring deal until the very end for a possible Dwight trade at the deadline.
We have the starting team we should roll with. Asik Donuts Parsons Martin/Lamb Lin Forget Howard and his drama. If something gets done, great. If not, suck it LA/Orlando.
