    Ichiro to the Yankees.

    Jack Curry ‏@JackCurryYES

The Yankees have acquired Ichiro Suzuki for RHPs DJ Mitchell and Danny Fahrquar, a source said. Yanks also get undisclosed cash in deal.

5 years ago...sure. Not any more. I have a few Mariner fans and they've been ready for him to retire for a couple of years.

It's amazing how NY consistently seems to get poorer teams to pay much of the salaries of these high priced players they manage to collect (see A-Rod, as an example).

Sounds like the Marlins may already be looking for flip C. Lee. Would be interesting to see what kind of haul they get back.

He was a significant contributor to a team that won 116 games in one season. They just couldn't get back to the playoffs after that even though they won 90+ games the next 2 years.

stats show he's pretty much hitting 300 on the road, but the average is .261 cause he hits like .219 at safeco....he's just bored in seattle.
