So what happens if Dwight is traded here, Bynum signs an extension in L.A. What big market will have room for Dwight?

A healthy Dwight Howard yes. A rental or a busted Dwight Howard no. If its true that he still can't run, then there is a good chance he sits out the year or at least up until the trade deadline. Then who knows what becomes of the new dwightmare.

He's on record in the last month saying he'll be ready for training camp.

Those tweets were fake. Photoshopped. Dwight says he'll be ready for camp.

Would you want to play at home where you'd have fam constantly bugging for tickets? And Atlanta isn't a bigger market than Houston. International marketing with Rockets. Global brand.

So you're fine with us just being bad and gambling on potential while LA and Brooklyn snatch up the stars because that's where they want to be?

****. That. No, seriously, **** that idea. I'd watch baseball if I wanted that.

If Dwight wants LA so badly, he can play for 3 million a year. But until then, we'll try to improve and make the best team without having periods over the idea of losing a prospect who almost certainly won't be as good over Howard.

A good way to determine who wins an internet argument:

It tends to be the guy who typed "you're" instead of "ur".

If we trade Dwight I don't think we keep Parsons/Lamb anyway,Morey will use them as trade bait to get another star.He is not going to trade for Dwight and put him in a rebuilding situation with rookies.Morey has a plan and best be sure that Dwight/Lin is not the end all.

Asik/Lamb or Asik/Parsons could get us a legit star to pair with Dwight.

Why are you guys not on the Dwight trade bandwagon, don't you want to contend for a title?

do you know what a FAR riskier move is? placing so much stock in completely unproven rookies who's only work to date has been to work up on scrubs in the summer league.

everyone fantasizes about their rookies... we see it every year. people LOVE potential but here's a newsflash: odds are none of our rookies even sniffs the impact a player like howard can have on your team. whether he leaves or not is irrelevant in this case bc the opportunity to acquire a talent like that is so rare.

you know what's a bigger risk than trading some of our promising players for howard and having him walk? not trading for howard given the opportunity and having those "potential all stars" turn into busts. people talk about rebuilding as if it's some magic elixir... the real elixir is getting howard on your team.

Some fans on this forum have convinced themselves that "tanking" is the true goal of the NBA (it's not) and that we would have a surefire top 5 lottery pick were we to play through the season with the current team (we wouldn't).

    LMAO!

We are already rebuilding and its a GREAT start to it from what I can tell.

No DH means we will be going through growing pains and prolly will have a high pick next season to go along with the young talent we have PLUS the Raptor pick.

With DH means you're setting yourself back a year if he walks....and for what?

To say he played with us for a year?

So that we have an all-star for the all-star game in Houston?

    Really?

Rockets had ZERO all-stars last season...all good....it's okay, man...change course.

All the Rox want is all-stars....you can call them "superstars", "megastars", "bonkerstars"......whatever....but ALL Morey wants is a all-star or two on the team.

    That's it.

You have 4 young but high ceiling rooks on ur team all gettin' huge props from everyone around the league but (some) rockets fans are looking to ship out the baby out with the bath water as quick as they can.

"awww...it's only summer league, they are gonna suck"
    "It's Dwight!!!!"
"I would trade my momma for dwight"
"have you seen dwights dunk? that's worth 12 jeremy lambs" (lol)

    GTOFOH!!!

    All-star...super-star...call it what you will.

They're all max players at the end of the day.

Morey is good at pickin' players save Morris and Dorsey.....but he needs to quit treatin' his players like pawn pieces and trust his own damn judgement.

THEN maybe players (and agents) will stop frontin' on the H and we wont have to settle for Rent 'Em Spoons (c) Cole
