    Tony Mejia ‏@TonyMejiaNBA
"@Cman424:Anyone off limits for Houston?" Lin & Asik. Martin is in any deal. Ideally, Rockets prefer to keep Lamb, DM, Parsons, lottery pick

"@hoopscritic: Watch 8/5 as a date. First day Motiejunas is trade eligible.." Yep, but framework could be agreed upon beforehand. It's time.

And OKC is due for some dismantling due to the luxury tax.

There was bad blood between Howard and the franchise. Howard at heart is a nice guy. He has done the most charity work in Orlando than any other player in there history. He regularly goes out for food at night and sits with fans. Before the whole dwightmare started, the fans and city loved him. Don't believe everything you hear from the media.

Then why don't they just keep him, we already know he is not walking away from the money?

I'm going to go ahead and at least partially disagree with you there. I'd say not being able to successfully build around one of the best players in the league got that GM fired. We're talking about the GM that gave Rashard Lewis one of the worst contracts the NBA has ever seen.

Unfortunately coaches are constantly wrongfully fired. Very easy targets for the fan base.

Again, from what some of y'all are saying, the city of Orlando loves him, or should love him, he will have a new head coach and and a new GM, why not let the gm try to assemble a new team around him in Orlando, you know he can't leave unless traded.

Hope this guy is for real and are intent on keeping Lamb and a lottery pick.

What I've been saying all along that I don't think we are readily giving up Lamb. He's the type of player you put with Dwight (like how the Magic tried to get Monta to Orlando last year) you're going to need a scoring wing type of player.

Jones is a great prospect as well and so is White. Patterson could be on the table? Never know maybe the Magic really like these players any ways and plus they will be getting cap relief as well.

As for "Well we need to give them Lamb or D-Mo to make it fair." argument...

When is the last time a trade like this was fair? Most aren't.

    PERFECT time.

Rockets should keep who they have. I'm not judging the rookies on what I feel they are now, or what they could potentially become. I see their skillset compared to what a lot of other players lack in the N.B.A WITHOUT yet receiving more than a couple months worth of NBA training, and I get excited about the possibilities... ALONG with the lottery pick in next years draft.

Dwight Howard is not worth the talent & flexibility the Rockets have right now... My opinion

    lol

Some of you guys have no concept have just how rare guys like Dwight are, and how hard it is to find them in the draft AT ALL, let alone outside the top 10.

Exactly. Now is the perfect time to see if the CBA does what it was designed for.

Bridges have been burnt. It is the same situation with Lin and the Knicks. Once JR publicly called him out on his contract there was no chance that Lin was going back there. Doesn't matter that the magic got a new coach and a new GM it is just better for both parties to distance themselves. Plus because of there past relationship the media will just make stuff up anyway to sell papers and fans will believe it because of the previous drama. Bridges have been burn't. It is better to move on.

First major injury of his career, and a surgery where 3 out of 4 players return just as strong afterward.

So there is a 25% chance he would come to us with first stages of chronic back problems?

Everyone here damn well knows how good DH is and how rare it is to get a player like him but that's irrelevant. It's all about the risk involved. Is the risk worth giving up your talented rookies/flexibility/future? Dwight walks you're stuck with no picks, very little young promising talent, AND you have some terrible contracts on your books that won't help the rebuilding process at all. A lot of people here say no to that risk. What's the problem with that?
