This is good news. They tried to get Howard but failed at the draft. After they failed they wanted to have a young team and get high draft picks. So they were not looking at secondary stars. It is either a super star or tanking.

Of course now they stil try to get howard, but if they fail they might not get a b-star. but try and work with the youngsters.

    I'm going too miss Scola

Nothing we don't already know. It's Howard vs Tank, and if it's a tank then Lin is the smokescreen that will appease the masses in the meantime while we actually use the young guys and high draft picks that are coming our way in the next couple years.

Lin is also a young guy. So he fits right in with the rest fo the team and draft picks.

    uh what?

Did Scola mean the 'they don't think they're going to be doing nothing'? Doesn't that mean the Rockets will be doing something?

As if this is the end of it all. Believe it when training camp rolls around. Magic won't want Howard around when that starts.

It makes sense, they know Lin sucks but overpaid him so he could come and suck but we'd still be watchable because of LOF

It's pretty much what we already knew. Rockets are going after Dwight/Bynum, but if they fall short, we're going with the youth movement; and that likely means a few bad years until they develop. Either way Scola didn't into our plans. we either needed his cap space to pull off the Dwight trade or his roster spot to get our young 4s playing time.

Love Scola though. will always be one of my favorite rockets of all time. Class act all. The way.

I'm sure the Rockets had imagined him going to San Antonio or Miami after amnestying him.

Now Scola practically went to the Rockets 2.0.

What a shame. I had hoped he'd go to a contender.

What a class act, what a consummate professional, Scola is helping us even after being amnestied. I picture Hennigan gulping while reading those quotes.
