He can't get traded until mid-December.

When will Asik officially become a Rocket? Any danger of Chicago possibly matching? Opening the season with a center would be embarrassing.

Bulls won't match. They may drag this out until Tuesday, but I bet once the signing of Muhammad becomes official, they'll announce they won't match.

Announcing wouldn't do much, I think they have to sign away matching rights to expedite the process for the Rockets. They don't gain anything by doing this so I doubt they will. If they wave rights to Asik Monday and Tuesday Noah gets hurt they have screwed themselves.

Hopefully Les has hired a private security firm to keep Noah extremely safe for these next three days... ;)

They are also claiming that the best chance for the Mav's to land D12 next summer is if he is traded to Houston. They think that D12 wants to play in Dallas and would rather go there for a bag of chips and a grape snow cone then to stay in Houston for a max contract.

LOL do you even know what that saying means?? I'm honestly rolling around laughing by the fact that you somehow applied that to Dwight freaking Howard.

Anyways, I actually look forward to the Asik signing. I wanna see how it pans out. This may be Morey's riskiest move yet (even more than Ariza) and it intrigues me.

Yea- its a real head scratcher. What is enticing about a true defensive minded center? weird.

Some people really want to go in to the season with Patrick Patterson as the starting center, I guess.

All seriousness, do you guys think it would be that hard to trade him next year if we have a re-signed Dwight/Bynum? I don't. If we don't get either, at least we still have Asik. Win-win.

Would you pay Mutombo $8 million/yr in his prime?

he is a better defensive player and a smarter defender, also cheaper than that tall dude with the clippers that everybody was so in love with.

    Warmly welcome Brad hamilton.
