Was the pain anywhere close to say getting kicked in the balls?

I always wondered how p*rn guys got the no-hair look. I ruled out waxing due to the pain factor. I figured there was no way any dude would do that. On that point, thanks for the enlitmenment.

But Jesus, man. Wth would you do that? I manscape to keep things cleaned up at my wife's request but she's satisfied with a short lawn.

Yeah ive trimmed for the most part but during summer i tend to get a lot of ingrown hairs around there so it was suggested to me by a couple of skin people that i consider keeping things smooth down there at least during the summer. I actually chcked out laser removal but the cost was like $400 something, so the waxing was really my only solution. Honestly if the ingrown hairs werent so painfully annoying, i wouldnt even think twice about waxing. Its just ive been getting the ingrown hairs for the last few summers and they were just unbearable

Dude, again, I don't think what you have are ingrown hairs. You don't get ingrowns from just trimming hair. More than likely it's folliculitis.

This explains the difference well, from Badger And Blade:

You may have just set yourself up for a ****storm when those suckers grow back...

    Wow!

At least, did you buy a solution to prevent ingrown hairs after waxing? The spas carry a few brands.

When shaving, do you use a brand new razor every time?

Taking a bath can help with ingrown hairs. I am not sure about folliculitis.
