    Oh, and did anyone else...

Get chills down their spine and goosebumps when Wayne was escaping from the prison? The prisoners were chanting "Rise" in their language. Wayne slips and the bats fly out of the tunnel, and the awesome symphony music gets louder and louder.

I just wanted to start clapping.

    6/10. Nothing special.

The 5 month ticking time bomb was dumb. Also felt they could get rid of catwoman all together.

Every time I've watched it I get the same feeling. Such a triumphant scene. The score in this film is just unbelievable.

Worst out of the 3 by far. If you're on the fence about seeing it, you'd be better off renting.

6/10. I'll occasionally watch the other 2 batman if they're on tv and I have nothing to do. Doubt ill ever watch this one again.

I saw it last night at a 10:20 showing. I am really glad I saw Batman Begins again the day before and for anyone planning on seeing The Dark Knight rises there are several plot points that will be missed if you didn't see Batman Begins.

I liked how Nolan ended up tying together the three movies and overall I thought it was a good movie including the twist at the end.

I had a few peeves though including that I still had a hard time understanding Bain at spots and his dialogue seemed sort of hokey at times when I could understand him. I couldn't help thinking of General Grievous from Revenge of the Sith when Bain was talking.

The long drawn out takeover of Gotham seemed pretty problematic. Especially that you had a bunch of cops stuck underground for three months then able to come out in great shape and able to take out Bain's heavily armed troops who are further backed up by prisoners and other citizens of Gotham who joined his army. If I remember the Chilean miners were stuck underground about as long and were not in very good physical shape when they came out.

Also it seems like a city the size of Gotham it would be very hard for Bain to maintain control for that long, even with the threat of the bomb. It seems like the US should've been able to sneak in a lot of special forces long before 3 months of time.

On the subject of time getting to and from Bane's prison from Gotham seemed pretty easy. If Gotham is New York it seems like Bane's Prison was in New Jersey since it takes almost no time from getting from there back to Gotham.

Another thing that is a peeve of mine in Superhero movies is figuring out the secret identity. It seems like anyone that knew Bruce Wayne relatively well could figure out that Batman was him. Especially a detective like Gordon should've easily to put the pieces together. It didn't really bother me that much before but since the identity of Batman became a minor plot point in this movie it seemed a bit annoying that even up to the end Gordon still didn't know who Batman was.

Any peeves though I had were minor relative to the scope of the movie overall.

agree with this. biggest credit i'll give it is that i wasn't bored for the 3 hours.

it's like a modernized version of the previous batman franchise. brought back too much of the old hoke of that and any other typical cliched super hero movie.

if your son isn't influenced by themes such as guns, betrayal, dishonesty, revenge, and mass murder then yes, it's appropriate for him.

really, if he can sit down without making a sound throughout the movie then take him. my viewing had a two year old who talked throughout the movie (parents finally took her out when we started making a fuss). another couple brought their two girls i'd say about 6 or 7 years old who sat behind us. the girls were better behaved than the toddler but they talked also. just don't be THAT parent.

I wasn't bored for about 10 minutes total. I swear I fell asleep for about 5-10 minutes in the theater. That's never happened before. A completely forgettable movie, with forgettable performances by everyone. Gordon-Levitt probably gave the best performance, but even then, still nothing special. Anne as Catwoman was a huge letdown. 5/10 for me only because Hathaway is hot and Bane's mask.

Yeah I forgot about that haha. The two engineers/scientists that told Fox about the autopilot could potentially figure out that Wayne is alive too. I'm ok with Wayne living, it's planning ahead, not only can he continue to help Catwoman, he could also mentor Blake or help him out when he really needs to. Plus it also means that a wonderboy partnership is still possible (I wouldn't be so psyched about this though, much rather Blake become the new Batman).

I think that was the point for Blake to take up the mantle as the Batman. I'm hearing a lot of people saying he's Robin to which I reply, "No, his name is Robin. John Robin Blake."

The entire movie is like his training in a way that he almost acts like a sidekick throughout by doing the detective work. It would be interesting to see if WB will try to continue with him as Batman or completely start over.

Excellent end to the series; last few minutes really close everything out well. Hathaway surprisingly (or maybe not that surprising, considering the other villain performances in the series) was great as Catwoman. Hardy's Bane is excellent as well and sells it as the antithesis to Wayne's Batman.

Still some sound issues with Bane's voice but he has some of the best lines. Also surprised to see a few comic nods I was not expecting. If you keep up with rumors leading up to it, a few things wont surprise you but even with those I liked a few twists I didn't see coming.

both bat-bane fights were brutal, particularly the first one. Thought it was great that we got that 'off his game' Wayne of the first part of the movie actually pay for it when he first went against Bane.

Also loved that we kind of got 'Batman and Robin' team up without it being an actual costumed sidekick.

Overall, everything was appropriately epic to close it out. Great trilogy.

They weren't setting him up to be Batman. Why would you drop the robin name twist at the end if he wasn't going to be Robin.

    DK>>>> than DKR
A lot of stuff that made the movie three hours didn't need to be in ther,
also SPOILer: Blake as robin keeps it open
Also thought Eckhart was that important of a figure in the DK,
So no two face was a bit disappointing. Bane was an ok character I guess, Bale
didn't seem like the same batman as in DK with his acting, but might have been the dialogue and horrible fight scenes. I liked it, but did not LOVE it, I had waited five years for this I thought to myself an hour through.
Also DK will always be owned by The Joker, so the DK is hard to beat acting wise since the acting.....had nothing to it
    Just MO

A nod to the fans. That is all it was, a simple nod.

Nolan from day one has expressed he would never consider a Robin in his movies. If he had then why didn't he choose his real name to be Richard Grayson, Tim Drake, or Jason Todd, or hell even Damian? Bruce is sort of of mentoring him throughout the movie in a way. He suggests he should wear a mask when fighting criminals and explained to him why he chose to be Batman after his car was towed. Bruce saw in Blake the perfect person to be his successor because the legend has to live on.

Some couple brought their baby (prob a few months old) to our imax showing. Plopped the carrier right on the floor in front of them. And they were almost in the front row. Music and explosions blaring and screen towering over them.

Of course, baby started crying about 10 minutes in. At least the husband had sense enough to try to take the baby out to the lobby each time it happened, but it was so often he basically ruined it for himself, lol. Some parents just blow my mind.

It was a nod to the fans to call him what he is not? Why not call him Clayface as a nod to the fans too then? makes no sense.
