To be fair, Dwight might be a mess off the court, but to say he won't be motivated to help your team win is doing him an injustice. He will give 100% effort every time he plays, no matter what is going on outside.

Again, you act like you and howard share brains ..smh You have no idea how the guy will act if forced onto a team and basically held hostage ..there is no precedent for it ... think

Nor any of our own picks. Even if the whiners are right and Dwight DOES walk away, all that means is it's tanking time. Say hello to top 5 draft picks for a few years.

Ok but that would set us back another 2-3 years, that's why people don't want the risk .. we have a huge head start to what many of us have been wanting.

I'd like to think that Dwight cares enough about his public perception and image to play well during the season even if he was disgruntled. There was a lot of talk last off-season about how he would half-ass his way through the season on the Magic and force his way out at the deadline. Before his injury, he was actually playing pretty well and had a few dominating performances.

We don't have a head start. We're still on the mediocrity treadmill, as you will quickly find out if we miss on Dwight and go into the season with this team.

Dwight Howard will never be more in a position where he is unmotivated to help a team win than the second half of last year. He wanted his coach fired, was demanding trades, saw his Brooklyn hopes crash and burn and dealt with scrutiny that he never could have imagined of. Yet he still played at the same elite level without hesitation. Seems like you need to be the one to think.

I think things will move quickly with the Asik situation resolved.

Yea I saw your post's in the other thread,BS .. This team would be lucky to win 20 games .. that's about what Durant won his rookie season ... but if this team did miraculously come close to making the playoffs, well it would be a hell of a feat with nowhere to go but up.

I am not against Dwight. But Morey has to find a way to keep Lamb. Kid's a baller and is the SG of the future in this league. We would regret trading him away like the Rudy Gay for Battier move. You don't mortgage your future so much for the "present".

The misconception people have right now from watching Summer League is that we are already a team of rookies. We're not. None of our starting 5 except Parsons played in summer league.

Umm... if the "present" is Dwight Howard, you do it in an absolute second.

I don't regret the Rudy Gay for Battier trade. Gay is super overrated around here. We gave up a starter for a starter, we don't lose out on an impact piece.

This team will win much more than 20 games. The rookies especially Lamb if they're not traded away are much more nba ready than you think. Lin will also win us a lot of games.

Except Dwight is about 1000 times better than Shane Battier.

Also if the rookies are bad McHale just won't play them hardly at all. He has no hesitation in running guys out there 40 minutes a game if he doesn't like what's on the bench.
