Way to spin my post. I am not saying Lamb > Dwight. But the kid has great potential and is much more nba ready than you think and can develop into part of a Big 3 which is key to winning a ring. Dwight + scrubs get you nowhere.

I'm not 100% sure when dealing with Howard it would be a bluff .. maybe somebody convinces him he can make up the loss,it's all a huge gamble. It may sound crazy but I think I'd give up millions to go somewhere that makes me happy..Especially if I already had more than I ever needed. Not like he's gonna starve, dudes already worth about 75mil without signing another contract.

It's more reasonable to say that Dwight can take a 35 win team to a 50 win team by himself. Which I think is pretty true. Good thing too because that's about where the Rockets would be next season without Howard.

Where is he going to go that "makes him happy"? Don't be stupid.

Dallas? Not better than Houston. Atlanta? Already said he's not interested in playing there, also not better than Houston. Cleveland? :p

He'll stay here because he won't have any better options AND because he'll get paid more. Even if you think he's not about the money (he is by the way), if all else was equal, wouldn't you take the $30M?

An unhappy and unmotivated Dwight = 1st round exit. Not worthy to trade the fam for.

    Say that again!

These geniuses swear up and down that Dwight is bluffing and no way would he turn down 30 mill.

Meanwhile playing where he wants and a reconstructed endorsement deal worth hundreds of millions will more than make up for a lil 25 or 30 mill.

Players assoc. probably wants him to set that precedent.

They want it to be understood that the players run this!!!!

Massa might think he runs things...but I have a feelin DH is stubborn enough to pass unless he gets what he wants.

You fools acting like you know what's inside Dwight's mind are the one's being stupid. How do you know dallas is not better than hou in his eyes ? .. and when did he say he wouldn't play in Atl ? link ?... all nothing but conjecture ...and of course if all else was equal I'd take the money, but none of you know what's rattling around in that guy's head ... seriously, quit pretending .. I do know I wouldn't sign a contract and be stuck somewhere I didn't want to be,especially if I was financially secure, and just spent 2 years fighting my way out of a different situation I didn't want.

Say it after me because I am TIRED of the ignorance.

Dwight Howard cannot play where he wants. He cannot get his precious endorsement deal.

New York and Los Angeles are CLOSED to him, and it's his own fault for opting in. The only way he can get to those destinations is if we or Orlando trade him there. Neither of those things is happening.

His options are NOT "take $30M in Houston or a $200M endorsement deal in Brooklyn".

His options ARE "take $30M in Houston or leave it on the table and go play in Dallas with a late 30s Dirk Nowitizki".

But if you forced someone to stay at somewhere he doesn't like, how would he be motivated enough to help you win?

Howard is similar to LBJ in the sense that if you add him on any team they instantly become better just like that. Howard has talent and if you give him a pnr pg and surround the two of them with shooters. You can do some damage. Yes Howards reputation has taken a hit recently but people need to stop underestimating his talent. The guy can flat out ball. Not saying I want him just saying that it is what it is.

    1st round exit??? Hahahahaha.

Man....we'll trade away everybody for him and have nothing but a slew of scrubs to go along that unhappy DH...

Prolly win 20 games with him...

    No...wait...

His back will miraculously heal around February and by then, it's trade deadline and rox will be beggin anybody to dump this guy on to get something back for him.

    No wait....

Morey has too much pride and of course isnt gonna just trade him for peanuts SO he calls the bluff and keeps him after the deadline and Dwight walks for nothing!

    Lol.

But nooooo......let's do whatever it takes for that!

People, look no further than NYK. Just 2 years ago they were also this young promising team with load of cap room. Then they traded all their youth and draft picks for a superstar. Now they are an old team, capped out and going nowhere but 1st round exit. You all want the Rockets to follow this route?

To paraphrase JVG, he's a good kid at heart who was raised right. He needs somebody who he respects to sit down and be straight with him.

Honestly I blame a lot of what's going on with Dwight on Fegan, anyway. Hopefully Dwight will fire his agent after this is all over.

We'd still have cap room, and we wouldn't trade away all our youth.
