Calling them 'Garbage rookies' certainly doesn't help your case.

he is not going to leave $30M on the table. and when you have a chance to get a top 3 player in the game you take the chance. especially if you are team that hasn't done jack **** for about two decades.

If Dwight fans were smart, they would hope that he stays in Orlando. That way we would definitely get Howard or Bynum next season. The rookies are going to show and prove.
Next season superstars will beg to play with the Rockets.

You should post first. Then smoke. Not the other way around.

Dwight will force a trade to one of three teams, and we will not get back anything that matches the value of what we give up now to get him.

But, hey, as long as Morey gets to say he succeeded in getting a superstar.

And if it was guaranteed that he'd resign, then trade Orland all the rooks and picks, but there's too big a risk to mortgage the future on something uncertain.
Either way we go is a risk, me personally I'd rather take the youth and picks and get the rebuild going

His new shoe deal is going to be 200 Million if he goes to either Brooklyn or LA. In other words he would leave that "30" Million if he gets that shoe deal.

Some might say, "why not get a shoe deal in Asia?" Short answer would be I have no idea.

We aren't exactly giving up duncan or lebron type rookies. None of them will ever approach dwight in terms of making a difference.

I agree with you there, I think they have good potential, well atleast Lamb and DMo,
but we'd also be giving up potential high draft picks too. With those you never know what you're getting.
If we're taking bad contracts and an unguaranteed star we shouldn't be giving up everything. It's either picks and Martin and Morris/Patterson or rooks and Martin

Those two "markets" are actually basketball teams that have to abide by rules, specifically the new cba. Neither has the ability to sign yet another max player to their rosters, nor do the have the things Orlando would want in a trade. Just because people cannot imagine Houston getting a marquee player doesn't mean that we are somehow unable to get and keep one. No way to "force" the facts to fit some self-loathing vision of the nba as a giant conspiracy to ruin your childhood.

Do we know how much his shoe deal would be if he was in Houston or another non-LA non-NY city?
