It's crystal clear that you are a cheater if you believe that being immoral to make a buck is ok so long as it's legal.

I'm not sure you understand what the term loophole means. By definition, loophole is "excaping an obligation" so I'd say that it is illegal, as people who are manipulating their taxes through loopholes are excaping their obligation to taxes. I don't think there's "nothing wrong" with that.

The only thing crystal clear is that you don't know the definition of the word "cheat".

There is nothing wrong with it. You are 100% wrong.

People are not escaping their obligation to pay taxes. They are indeed paying their taxes. The problem is, they're paying their legally obligated taxes (as determined by the tax code), and you want them to pay more than their legally obligated taxes.

Yeah, cool argument, except that isn't even true.

Do you know the difference between something that is illegal and something that is unethical?

Like I said before, there is nothing wrong with following the tax code in such a way that it serves your best interests.

This was more fodder for your general argument that "people" should not pay more than their legally obligated taxes.

However, I would not be surprised if this were the case for Romney. If he hasn't disclosed his offshore bank accounts, he's legally liable. He might even be held for perjury.

McCain vetted Romney for VP and didn't like what he saw in his financial records. If Romney wanted to assuage people, he should just release the damn records. There are too many grey spots where he could have gone wrong.

Most of the super-rich don't even bother with the pretense of a tax code, which is ridicolous considering how much they could evade anyways, "legally".

Tax code has to be reformed.

Agreed. The tax code needs to be reformed. But until then, you can't fault people for legally taking advantage of it.
