Yeah I guess they do have to cover their bases. So despite them telling Morey they aren't matching, they will still take the whole 3 days? Dang
So you don't think a deal has a good chance to happen today anymore? I've always thought Tuesday would be the day.
I think Asik is a good pick up. All the guy has to do is protect the rim, and he's very good at doing that.
Sorry, I'll put it back to Asik on this thread, we already have a Howard thread. Just getting impatient with the contract to be signed.
We all are , we went thru a weeks of activity now weeks of bull crap reports. If u think we're getting inpatient think about Morey. On the flip side Morey could have more of a realistic idea of when this could go down. He has the luxury of knowing what going on more then some of these so called "insiders "
nothing new happening, cyberx? i think you said all the offers are in and the ball is in the magic's court?
The Magic front office announced Friday that they were taking time off for a vacation. This could be a long ways from being settled. My guess is Morey's first offer did not trip their trigger.
Idk of that happened but that won't change our offer. Morey isn't gonna get desperate all of a sudden. Now I kinda hope we tell them to go to hell and see Orlando get screwed because they have to keep Howard till the trade deadline. When deals will include much much less.
LOL, Morey won't fold...This is how it turn out.... ]Rob Hennigan Morey Expiring Filler Trash Kevin martin Dallas 1st rounder Toronto 1st rounder Bobcats' 2nd rounder Greg Smith Marcus Morris
I don't believe that will land the Rockets the best center in the NBA. I have a feeling it will even take more than that just to get Bynum. Greg Smith and Marcus Morris?
THIS!!! For all the other poster's and any magic fan's reading this forum. Morey has no reason to fold. If the Magic want to play the waiting game fine by us. We're not the one's with the depreciating asset. Truth be told, the Orlando Magic are playing with fire by waiting, and their about to get burned.
They can have Lamb as their future prospect. Future elite scorer. Any more than that and the Rockets are overpaying.
They may have to include one of the three recent draft picks too, but if he is not willing to sign an extension, your offer will suffice....it's still better than Cleveland's offer.
It would be crazy for him to sign an extension no matter who he is traded to (moneywise). I will admit that I am an Orlando fan, and I REALLY want him to go to Houston (hate the Lakers). I think you guys have a real good chance of keeping him for a long time once it sinks in that he will never get to Brooklyn. He's a great player, gives 110% on the court, and if you get him, you will realize that he is absolutely worth whatever it takes to get him.
We're not trading for the best center though. We're trading for the gamble of keeping the best center. That's not worth risking youth to me.
And why the hell not? Bynum has knee injuries, and like Dwight I dunno if he will sign an extension after 1 year. Look who cares what Dwight's market value is, the only thing is you need to put up the best offer. THe best offer Cleveland can put out are picks and Varejao. And maybe their bust draft picks like THompson and that other SG (SMH). Patterson, Morris, Toronto lottery pick and our collection of low 1st rounders and 2nd rounders beat that easily. We might not even have to eat crap contracts LOL.
