He won't stay if the Magic players are transferred with him, in a tougher conference. He may agree to a sign and trade for let's say Bynum. Bynum plus Hedo, J-Rich etc will be more talented than the rookies, but it does not have championship potential.
Keep the rookies plus Chandler, and use the cap room for a UFA plus future picks. This is similar to the OKC route. It will be more painful, but is more likely to yield better results in the long run.

If the choice is giving up all our assets for a one year rental of Dwight or keeping all our rookies and doing exactly what Orlando is trying to do then I choose keeping the rookies.

Now, if Orlando gets reasonable on their demands we can give them a better package than anyone else but not if they are trying to clean us out. Hey, we are positioned to have an exciting young team on the rise like OKC. We'll trade that for Dwight if you don't get overly greedy. If you do, then we roll with what we've got and be happy about it.

I still think he stays if we call his bluff AS LONG AS we are up front about it and don't do it in a way which hurts his ego. The only way I could see him leaving in free agency is if it becomes a big fight about trading him and he gets pissed off at us like he did with the Magic.

That's why I think it will be very important to be extremely up front with him and tell him we will not trade him to Brooklyn or LA no matter what because we don't think their assets are worth giving up our flexibility. That way he doesn't have any mistaken impressions or believe that he can force his way out of Houston at the deadline.

If we refuse to trade him to NY or LA, where the hell else can he go? I don't believe for a second he will leave $30M on the table to go play in DAL or ATL.

Something about this feels fishy. Think about it.

Why would Oilpere just reappear now?
Why would he not just post here? He was not banned AFAIK.
He goes out of his way to give more information than necessary ---- what's the point in using Dave's name? And why go out of his way to expose Doc?
    That would seem vindictive.

The trade could feasible, but the OP does not seem plausible. Maybe someone needs attention.

I admit our rookies etc aren't Westbrook or Durant. I may be delusional, but I don't think we will be bottom feeders if we can shore up our defense.

I just hope Morey doesn't lowball him enough for Henny to pull the trigger elsewhere. I also hope Henny isn't asking so much that Morey pulls out completely. I'd like to think that neither scenario is realistic. Houston has exactly want Orlando needs, and Orlando has exactly what Houston has been looking for the last 3+ years. We're perfect for each other, and I think Morey and Hennigan are smart enough to realize that.

I think J.Hill resigning might be a hint.

I'm not sure what all you guys are getting riled up about tbh. Some random guy on a magic poster says trade has happened and clutchfans goes wild. LOL

If Morey and Les stupidly give up both D-Mo and Lamb for Dwight Diva, I think they are going to be very disappointed in the public's reaction, especially if Lamb wins ROY and Dwight Diva fails to get us deep in the playoffs.

Do you really think DD would magically appear in a thread on another forum that all of a sudden everybody on Clutchfans is looking at and make his first post without adding "DD" at the end of it? Didn't think so.
