    ehhhh.. apples and oranges..

You have to remember that when the 2nd amendment was created, the only fire arms that existed were weak ass muskets compared to the brute powerful guns available today. (Not saying I think guns should be banned but..)

On the contrary, the 2nd amendment was created to allow its citizens to defend themselves against violence, uprising and mistrust in the military controlled by dictatorship. Guns were not toys in that era compared to today.

Went to Studio 30 tonight to see Ted...there were no lines outside...the place looked like it was a Wednesday night. Looked nothing like a typical weekend, and certainly nothing like the opening of the summer's biggest blockbuster.

I saw a couple of security guards out front...nothing out of the ordinary. I was expecting to see more of that. Maybe there were plain-clothed security guys around.

I expected the crowds to be affected...but I didn't expect it to be that dramatic. It was weird. Only one show of Dark Knight was sold out when I pulled up. Lady in front of me bought a ticket into the showing that started in about 15 minutes from when she bought it.

I also saw Ted today at Movie Tavern. Parking lot was packed and they had a Harris County Sheriff up front by the ticket counter. Don't recall ever seeing that before at the movies.

On second thought my wife was right.

There's no way I would take a 6 year old to see TDKR. With all the violence, sex, and weapons shown it's not something that they should be objected to at such a young age.

If a 24 year old guy can't come to grips with himself and figure out he's not living in a fictional action movie, how do you think a 6 year old will come to grips with this sort of "entertainment"?

Not saying he'll become what this horrible human being has turned out to be, just that he doesn't need to even try to make a meaning of what pretend violence, bullets, blood, and war is. IMO.

    Come on, man.
With that train of thought, you're saying anyone 24 and under could very well not be able to differentiate between whats reality and what's hollywood. Don't let one messed up individual ruin it for everyone and anyone under any circumstance other than the obvious. I know I'm not the only one who was 6 or 7 and saw a film such as pulp fiction or other rated R movies (despite this one being pg-13) and other films but what impact did it truly make??? I and millions of others will see it as the silly entertainment it is just like Breaking Bad, just like NWA, just like GTA and just like anything else that pushed the envelope through out generations. The product doesn't warp the psyche unless the psyche was already broken. Don't crucify anything else just because of it.

(and not necessarily directed directly at you, Flash, but the general population that's silly enough to blame or hint at the arts for planting the evil seeds into what makes this world wrong)

Sad R.I.P. to all involved. Can't believe their are people who are that sick in the head to think of such a thing to do.

No clue why anyone would bring a 3 month old baby to the movies anyway smh

I know right??? At midnight to say the least??? I don't do midnight screenings often only for like a major movie event or if I have no time to see it over the weekend but midnight screenings are always the last option for me...
