What Would Convince DH to Stay in Houston?

    If Houston Rockets and the Brooklyn Nets somehow traded sports, the Rockets go to Brooklyn and Nets move to Houston. Viola...

    Hmm. Money, the persuasion of Hakeem, whether or not we make the playoffs and at least make it to the 2nd round with our players, the insistence by Morey that he can make the necessary moves to make us contenders.

    If we have him, and the 2013 summer rolls around, I think we'd have a shot. LA and NY/Brooklyn do not have cap space. Would he choose Dallas, with an aging roster, over us with a young squad and potential all-star in Lin?

    Money and a Championship. I think smart/aggressive management as well. His whole debacle with the Magic is predicated on management not listening to him and bringing in other superstars to compliment him. Pay him, listen to what he wants and his input to a degree. And be competitive. If he believes he can win here, and we have the cap space for him and some others he will stay.

    1. Convince him w/ Hakeem (they're friends and will listen at least)
    2. Convince him to play for the glory of God w/ Jeremy and have fun & stop being sad
    3. Convince him that CHINA belongs to him!! Jeremy don't care. He will get global brand and a hell lot more money from outside of basketball.
    4. Convince him that Morey will have the money to bring in another STAR like James Hardin.
    5. Convince him that going to LA, spotlight will be on Kobe as he will dwarfed over any stars (YES, that including Shaq, Bynam and Gasol).

    Sure money. But most team can give him that. What Houston have is the China Market. Brooklyn or La will totally win over the city of Houston for big Hollywood lifestyle. La have the best chance to give him a championship. I think his brain right now is in that Hollywood lifestyle mentality.

    Plop Beyonce on one knee and Kim Kardashian on the other, then hand him a 12 pack of Cristal and that huge stack of money from the picture earlier and you have an opening argument. The rest of the argument will come from Morey as he drags himself around on his knees like a dog with no back legs for 6 weeks begging Dwight not to leave while Dwight goes and gets the same treatment from 5 other GM's.

    I think he ends up in Brooklyn. Nothing we say or do aside from reaching the Finals will convince him to stay.
