America is probably one of the only countries in the world where a man like this would be apprehended and brought through fair courts. I have to applaud that. American values cannot be broken by this lunacy. The American people cannot be broken so easily. People will eventually let him fade from their minds. They'll go back to their daily lives. They'll watch movies while the madman languishes in the dark. And then maybe someday, we'll find out why so many young men throw away their lives and the lives of others, and then solutions can be proposed.
I don't think anyone back then envisioned an era when one man could kill a dozen people and wound 50 others in a few minutes. The right to bear arms came about during an era when you had muskets.

To combat people who open the exit door at a movie theater and throw in tear gas and murder innocent people with a assault rifle,shotgun, etc..

Manson makes more sense than most people in US, and many posters on this board. He comes across most articulate and well-informed about these issues. Over the years, I have had more respect for him than most mainstream musicians, in regards to their work and even how they express themselves. It seems like he has a great understanding, how in the world can anyone find fault in what he said on Bowling for Columbine or on "The O'Reilly Factor." What part of his argument constitute to an rambling, illogical, or have any perceived fallacies. I even said often before anytime some controversial new movie, TV show, or song comes out and people feel like it's going to make people deviant or crazy, such as men who thought if they watched Brokeback Mountain were suddenly going to turn gay, after the movie or suddenly think their wives are going to turn into stud-muffin craving sex fiends after watching Magic Mike or Desperate Housewives. There was also an older analogy with DH Lawrence's Birth of Nation. It's weird how in alot of his interviews and songs, how he comes off like a yoga, yet people look at him like the biggest freak in the world. More times than not, does that say more about him, or about the people who find him revolting.
Perhaps we should also ban bread and butter since carbs and fat are the most responsible for heart diesease which kills a lot more people in america than guns. Afterwards ban monogamous relationships since they are the root of so many crimea of passion that affect thousands and maybe millions every year.
That's what it seems like he's implying. I'm all for concealed handguns, but you'd have to be out of your mind if you think carrying assault rifles in public is okay.
