What? It doesn't matter whether your a "violent offender" or not, if you commited a crime you need to be incarcerated. Are you saying that because someone has one crack rock, they spend 10 years in prison, it's terrible? Anyway, I actually don't mind gun bans, just don't see it becoming as peaceful, all of a sudden, because of it. Plus I'm sure the economy/industry side of it would fight it till the end before they lose what they built their businesses/fortunes/futures from. That's just America for you.
It occurred to me. I'll probably think of it in the movie theatre, but I won't let it stop me. I saw a man killed by a bus a couple of months ago. I still drive by the spot every day. And, I think about that guy and his death each time I do. But, I don't change my route.
Federal & state Contractors got to get paid baby. The prison contractors and prison guard unions are very effective lobbyist. That's a major problem in America.
Look!! Small arms result in less damage compared to Assault rifles! Ban Assault rifles or just start the original ban back up! Guns can protect people but there is not realistic reason to own an assault rifle.
There absolutely should be a more stringent licensing, permitting, and registration process on handguns and certain types of semi-automatic weapons, we are long overdue for it - reform drug laws, prosecute weapons violations. Nobody should change their actions because of events like this. You probably do 50 things a day that are more likely to kill/injure you than a spree killing, terrorist attack, etc.... My heart goes out to all the family and friends of the victims.
Uh...yeah. the bull**** drugs laws are terrible. You really don't wanna debate that because you would get crushed brah. There is no reason why people should serve time for doing a drug...any kind of drug (alcohol, weed, cigs, prescription pills, crack, etc.). Are you aware that cocaine was used for toothaches? Heroin for coughs and pneumonia? Easier to make money making the synthetic forms of those drugs than using the natural form.
The laws doesn't mean **** if the store owners are desperate to sell their goods. So how exactly people are buying firearms in the US? Are there gun stores or do they have to go through the Police station to pick up/buy/register their firearms?
Sorry don't wanna get "crushed" by the local crackhead.... *steps back from the keyboard* My bad OG triple OG.
The poster I replied to was talking about automatic weapons. You can file a permit to own an automatic weapon. The ban that expired was for assault weapons that are semi automatic I think.
