I remember as a child playing war games, i made some quite sophisticated booby traps for such a young kid. This guy has this all well planned out so i wouldn't underestimate anyone like this.
It doesn't fit the profile, he isn't the Unabomber. I might be wrong, but I'm gonna say not booby trapped and he just has home made explosives.
Just an FYI but no theatres built in the last 50 years should have only one entry and exit. That would violate longstanding building codes.
It's not about the number of entrances and exits. It's about the width of said exit based on the capacity of the seating area.
I've noticed that the majority of mass shootings gun men are white. I can't recall a mass shooting that was caused by other minorities (except VA tech and the D.C. sniper shootings)
If this is a standard exit door it should only open outward. It also isn't locked but is rigged with panic hardware (the push bar that allows it to be opened easily from inside) and alarmed. I highly doubt he kicked the door in but it might not have been shut properly since theatres allow people to exit from what in other cases would be only used for emergencies. Pure speculation on my part but since some planning had gone into this I am wondering if the person on the cell phone was the shooter and since he had parked his car in back he had just pre-positioned his gear. Went out through the door and used some sort of stop to keep it from closing, came back in and started shooting.
Doesn't matter if they found an empty pringles can and a dog turd, your shoot-first-ask-questions-later strategy is stupid and counterproductive for law enforcement (which is why they don't practice it). I'm sure we're going to find out more as the hours progress, hoping for the best.
These mass killings are acts of a calculated thought process. I don't think it's a race thing per-say as much as an educated person pulling them off. The guy who shot Giffords I remember was also a college student.
I have extra ammo and chemicals. Probably way more than this loser. It isn't stupid, I would have never seen his smug smiling face in the mugshot.
