The trail blazers don't even run anything for him. He has TS% of 58 and he rebounds well. If they ran some actual plays for him I could see him getting 18-20 efficiently.
But Adelman's offense isn't slow as molasses and doesn't run PnR (what seems to be) 99% of the time while asking Batum to park himself in the corner and wait for a 3-point attempt. Batum would have had more opportunities to score and in more diverse ways. If the Blazers hire a decent, Batum's productivity will jump now that McMillan is out of the picture.
And Pekovic was the only one. EVERY SINGLE one of their OTHER players 26 and under got WORSE, or stayed the same. High lotto picks, too. There was little Adelman magic last year. It was Kevin Love, some Rubio and Pekovic, vets in Ridnour and Barea, and nothing.
