Adidas, Nike etc already have snuck their advertisement in on players with shoes, shooting sleeves and etc. BUT if they start looking like soccer jersies and get degeneratively bad, for instance, a NASCAR jersey.... Then I'm done with both stern and silver. ****ing jokes

I dont like this at all.

so now instead of saying "rockets" in front of the jersey they will have an ad.

I think this is great!!! Its totally beneficial for both the teams and the fans alike~!!! Just imagine how boring the jerseys would be if they didn't have the graphics and the razz-ma-tazz on them like the Summer League jerseys. Those jerseys are so dull and plain that we would barely look at them!!!

Imagine a white-coloured jersey that just said in 20in Times New Roman font at the front that said: "Houston Rockets". Now, who would go out and spend 100 bucks on a jersey like that?!!

I say this is a great business move for the NBA and should be welcomed by the fans with applause. Now the owners will have more money to spend on players and less time hiding in the Frugal Corner!!

Truth be told this doesn't bother me THAT much - other than the fact that I just love the look of a clean, classic jersey.

I don't normally get caught up in the "principle" of things, but we are just egregiously saturated with ads as it is. Ad nauseum, pun intended.

Next, diehard fans would end up like soccer fans whom have to buy a new jersey every two or less seasons since the sponsorshop contracts ended.

C'mon guys .. you don't believe Stern would let it get out of control now do ya .... I mean he does such a wonderful job with everything else .. Probably just increase it by one or two a season and you'll hardly even notice .

Also there's going to be extended replay on flagrant calls and last 2 minutes of the game. Still nothing to address flopping, Stern is a liar when he said he really wanted to change things on that front!

What's worse is that, in 3 years when this is the norm, this will be seen as another brilliant stroke in the reign of David Stern. He molded the superstar era, he globalized the sport, he made it so marketable bob loblaw
