From 2015 and on we own all of our first and second round picks. We can also possibly have the bobcats 2nd round pick if C.Lee trade goes through.

I think we traded that when we traded up for Motiejunas last draft.

 

Just the fact that the Magic will own all of those picks not too long from now.

 

So we could have two unprotected 1st round picks in 2018, besides our own, if we still have those picks? Hey, if we can hang on for 6 odd years, we may get somewhere! And they will be odd years. I certainly don't doubt that. Yes, the Toronto pick should be available long before then, but you never know. It'll be a pity when those get moved in some deal. Dallas could be god-awful in 6 years. Heck, Cuban might become tired of the team, sell it, and get interested in something else. Who knows?

 

...on average, a team has two picks per year, of course. The number of picks we have depends on the performance of other teams, but we could potentially have a pretty good haul of picks.

 

So I'm counting 6 so far for 2013 am I close? Well if all of the restrictions are met, why would Orlando put the Cav's as a facilitator when we have the best to offer. My guess is that Orlando wants much more than what we're offering and that Morey wants Dwight over Bynum. Interesting to say the least..
