Not necessarily if it puts strain on our cap. I think that's what people are alluding to here. If it turns out we got picks back in return or something, it's easier to stomach. But this may be an indication that the Howard/Bynum talks aren't going anywhere and that we may be settling in with what we have. I mean, we just got through giving up Scola for absolutely nothing but capspace, so picking up another dude that appears to be just filler seems like a departure from the plan.

The Magic added two PFs this draft. They're roster is unbalanced like the Rockets, too many PFs. They're high on their first rounder Nicholson who has impressed.

I had this thought as well. People were talking about mid level exception money with Lee, and this is like the veteran minimum. Boston is over the cap, so money wise the salaries have to be within 25% of each other. So literally, this doesn't add up.
I hope we get Fab Melo (I doubt it) but we can have an all rookie starting five. PG White, SG Lamb, SF Jones, PF DMo, C Melo. Our new Signings coming of the bench Asik, and Lin.
