No, it's not OK, and yes, I would be offended. If you buy a NYK Lin jersey, you're supporting the NYK organization. That $$ should be going to the Rockets. So, wait and buy a Rockets jersey.
You can wear that only if Les Alexander can see you. It will remind him how he screwed up and let our legend go because of money.
It would be kinda cool to rock a rockets #17 lin jersey since it was his original number at training camp last season. Linsane before the Linsanity!
Lin is 7. 17 is a for a hero. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/wfhhBN9L8Sg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I think forcing people to wear a Raptors Dream jersey should be the Houston version of tar and feathering someone. So, say a politician gets busted for corruption or does a terrible job as mayor or something, or if an owner of a sports franchise trades away an iconic sports figure who has been playing in the city for two decades, well, then we grab him, force the jersey on him, staple it on him real good and then kick him out of town.
Is it ok to get a Lin's jersey from Chinese black market, where it sells 5 RMB with a throw in of chicken wings?
If money allows, a Rockets jersey should be the only option. If not, street clothes will do with a homemade linsanity decal stuck on your shirt or pants. That'd be cool too.
Well I bought 2 NY - Lin shirts when Linsanity was big, and then I recently before free agency hit I bought a Knicks Jersey. Planning on getting an Rockets Lin jersey soon but I'll just use those NY Lin shirts to work out.. so sad.. I wouldn't wear Lin's NY jersey to a Rockets game VS the Knicks though. It's not as hostile as if you wore a NY Lin Jersey if you were in New York playing against the Rockets. Fail?
