There will be no deal or "framework" for a deal until next week. Orlando is waiting on Houston to get done with the Asik situation and then present them with the final offer. If they like it they take it or turn to Lakers with Houston or Cleveland being the third team.

    Pretty much....

They read on twitter: "Sources said DHo is a drag queen".

SamAmico: "I have just confirmed from multiple sources that DHO is a drag queen".

which is why i never really care to believe anything unless its from spears, woj, alridge and to a lesser extent stein (though stein tends to go with some of this hoopsworld/realgm bs stuff as well)

Why does Woj have to go on vacation right in the middle of this whole Dwightmare? I hope he will be back on twitter world by next week.

Just confirms what we already know, we have the package Orlando wants.

Now just a matter of landing Bynum and locking him up.

Yep, still the frontrunners as common sense dictates

Howard who might be a pissy b**** and try to leverage free agency to force a trade to the Lakers? Or Bynum who would probably sign an extension and is younger, but has more injury concerns and is a lesser player?

Either one will be a franchise player. Man, I wonder if the rockets regret making a play for asik.

Why would they regret? They can afford both and with Asik backing up Bynum, you can keep Bynum off the court longer and rest him for the playoffs.

Well if Orlando wants Bynum then Houston needs to back out now

no way I want any of our players dealt in a Howard/Bynum swap where we do not land either Bynum or Howard.

Of course I see this you bet Daryl does too and wont be involved at that point.

I am sure the Magic wants Bynum extended and the first round picks Houston has for Howard while dumping some of their bad contracts.

That is not going to happen with Houston

At the same time no way Daryl gives up the same package for Bynum as he would for Howard.

    From the above article.
I think Morey will push harder from Dwight even if he wants LA. I think Morey doesn't like Bynum (Health, Attitude) and won't relent on Howard because LA can't sign him outright next season. Dwight will have to choose from non East, West coast teams.

No way. Asik will still have value, and could actually grow his value in Houston. In the first two years he will be making market or almost below market for a backup center in the NBA.

In the "poison pill" year, Asik will still be a nice expiring trade asset. Especially in the case of a team on the cusp of making a playoff run that needs help in the paint.

And we all know that teams ALWAY need help in the paint. Hell, look even Marcus Camby was making 11 something Mil last year and the Rockets traded for him without a blink in the final year of his contract. I would think Asik as an expiring at 27 or 28 will be even that much more valuable to a team looking to make a playoff run.

That being said, given this there is still reason for Chicago to still match and plan on trying to move him in 2 years.
