Out of all the superstar/star point guards I think its Chris Paul who is least turnover prone and has the best assist to turnover ratio. The best point guards I can think of all have at least 3 TOVs per game. Magic and Isiah averaged more than 3.5 a game I believe.
give me Stockton. Dirty, yes. but he was straightforward with the ball and had good handles..and was smart
Jeremy's turnovers are overblown. A lot of his turnovers were due too inexperience in playing long minutes and having a ridiculous usage rating. Meaning he had the ball in his hands way too long. He averaged 3.6 turnovers last season. Bad considering he only averaged 27 minutes but it will get a lot better with experience and a lower usage rating. I am more worried about assist to turnover ratio than just turnovers. If he can get an assist to turnover ratio of 2.5 that would be great.
Um.... Pistol Pete Maravich Magic Johnson Spud Webb John Stockton John Lucas Jason Kidd nah... Jason Williams definitely Jason Williams...
This isn't about to/ast ratio, we are talking about bringing the ball up the court and getting your pocket picked.
Im not trying to bash this thread in any kind of way by no means. But "The best at bringing the ball up the court"???? Who cares? As long as it isn't some sloppy mofo that shouldn't have his hand on the rock. That's why they're called "ball handlers". Peace.

You aint never seen somebody who couldnt get da ball across half court? I see MANY sloppy ass guards who lose da ball comin up court, hell Lin got his pocket licked like 3 times in one half when he played miami this season. Protecting da rock up court so your team gets an offensive posession is a high caliber skill.

And Chris Paul is great at both of those things. He rarely gets his pocket picked. John Stockton is also a great choice. Surprised he gets so little mentions.
