There is a remote chance we miss out on both, If we do were do you think we finish, and who do we target next? Also I dont want to sound like a Conspiracy guy but is the NBA out to get US?
Build around Lin, Asik, Lamb, White, Parsons and Jones. Hope we get a top 5 pick with that lineup and that the Raptors somehow finish with a top 10 pick and get lucky in the draft and end up with our future centerpiece. Improve exponentially each year from there.
I am beginning to think we might be better off, not in the short run but for the long haul. I would like to see what the "young guns" can do.
Hopefully they forget about Howard and wait for Bynum if Bynum thinks he can win in Houston.... If not then lets just continue rebuilding. The right star will come, no need to go around begging... Enough is enough and its clear that Howard wants to be in a team with another "superstar" and a popular city..... The Dream was not traded for but drafted... And he was loyal till the very end..... The players we have traded for have not turned out so well no matter how good they were. (Even the Astros got a glimpse of this with Beltran)..... Keep the rooks, let Howard go and suck elsewhere.....
If the NBA was really out to get us, then why would we have ever won a lottery pick. If the NBA was really out to get us, we never would have had Yao, Dream, Francis, and would have disallowed the T-Mac trade. The rejected trade last year that would have netted us Pau Gasol was probably more of a blessing than an example of the "NBA out to get US."
If we missed out Howard and Bynum, we will be in a slightly worse situation. To be a champion calibrator, we needa cross our finger, and hope that one of our rookies or the rookies next year will turn in to a top 10 player.
How the heck do you cross one finger? Sounds painful!!! and I think they sell Champion Calibrators at Auto Zone.
