Not much really. The most frustrating thing about the Rockets last season was the opponent layup drills, we essentially fixed that.

It's funny that fans say "he's not worth the money". I mean it's not "their" money, it's Les Alexanders money.

All that should matter to fans is our flexibility moving forward, and Morey already has that planned out.

Ummm how does this not prove otherwise. Asik is so valued at 8 million per season that the Number one seed two years running (basically) is willing to let said value walk for DARKO .... uh yeah.

Doesn't work that way for Chicago. Go back through the thread. Search for Poison Pill on Google.

Yeah I really wanted to see Lin/Dwight on the Rockets would have been a major boost to the Rockets franchise.

Actually it is the fans money. Where do you think the revenues come from to pay the salaries? Not to mention tax monies used to fund things like new stadiums, etc. just saying

    Agreed!

If Les Alexander has a profitable team, he didn't build that!

Anyone else think its funny that all reports have said that we still have cap room to take on Orlando's contracts if we get Asik, yet Bucher said on ESPN that getting Asik and Lin take us out of the running...?

This guy just refuses to show Houston any respect whatsoever! I wanna see his reaction when we get Bynum/Howard and become contenders!

Now that the Bulls have signed Hinrich and declined to amnesty anyone, won't matching Asik's contract put them over the luxury tax for next year? If the rumor that they're interested in Darko is true, they must be willing to let Asik go to cut salary.

If Houston signs Asik and then gets Howard in a trade where don't give up the farm then technically we have f'd over New York, L.A. and Chicago all at the same time in one offseason!!! Lmao that's with Dwight signing an extension with us.

I'm not one that has said anything of the sort, but it's more about cap space. No one here would give a damn how much Asik was getting paid if there wasn't a salary cap.

I am seeing his stats. 15 minutes per game. 4 points per game. 6 rebounds per game 1 block per game. Those don't look very good so can someone tell me how good is Omer Asik and why he's deserving of a 25 million dollar contract when these averages really look scrubby to me. Is he a great defender like ben wallace in his prime or smtg?
