Don't see the logic here. Orlando is giving up Howard regardless if he goes to Houston or LA. Just because we end up with the lesser Center doesn't mean Orlando will be willing to receive less. They probably want Lamb either way.

He said let LA give the rest to make the deal work, they would be receiving Howard after all.

I agree 100% btw. We give up less, keep our young talent, and get a guy that actually wants to be here, and who imo is the better overall center.

Ppat and Morris aren't throw-ins. As far as I'm concerned, they have value like our draft picks this year.

So is he trying to make the Magic realize that Houston has the best offer and that they better take it before they go young and not give them anything ????? ..is that whats happening

Les is willing to get Dwight as a rental, he is no longer willing to give up everything for him.
This policy is wrong. We need a star, but one who is healthy and wants to join us.
Signing one to a near max offer while retaining most of our youth, is the way to go.
Les and DM need to be patient, reckless moves will be disastrous.

There is nothing LA can do to "make the rest of the deal work."

He getting warm to the idea of let these guys develop instead of gutting it for Dwight. Shoot why not let them play and sign Bynum or Dwight next year in FA.

Dont think hes gsaying he wants to stick with the rookies. He wants to win so bad that he wont tank to do it. The Magic start talking to the Cav's and Lakers about a 3 team deal. They don't have the assets we do or the Toronto pick. Les comes out and says this to scare Hennigan's rookie ass.

Most people are getting too attached to these rookies, myself included. Someone said leverage. No doubt he is leveraging. If a deal goes down they will want Lamb and there will be some angry people on the boards.

Alexander's next marquee move should be to sell the Rockets. He now has Lin to hype up the franchise so he could get a good price now before the reality of the Rockets being mediocre as the past three years sets in after the hype of the Lin signing dies down.

Haha Leslie wants everything coming easy since he wants an established team like the one he inherited in 93-94. I am sure he is not going to settle for developing rookies. He wants another splash so that there's morey money to be made and he can have an All-Star to build a championship team in a few years with.

Keep the cap space wait till Bynum becomes a free agent next season and go from rhere. In that time Lamb, Montienujes, White and Jones will be better having played a season and having Lin will make Bynum interested to gain a foothold in the asian market.
