RealGM were the ones who accurately reported Howard would pick up his player option last season, right?

Sources: Dwight Howard is ready to join Lakers. If traded to Los Angeles Howard will re-sign long-term with team after 2012-13 season.

Morey needs to swoop in and take Howard before Lakers talks get serious. L.A. knows Howard will resign long term. They'll stop at nothing to get him now. We need to stop it.

I would not mind Bynum at all. I'd guess this would lower the price we'd have to pay as well? What do you think the chances are of getting Bynum without giving up JLamb?

If true, which I doubt, Houston still controls the situation.

LAL and Orl need a facilitator and Cleveland has nothing to offer.

If getting Bynum means keeping the most of the rooks then do it...as long as Lamb and Jones stay

Also, would this set up a trade for DHo directly with the possibility of a SnT to Lakers if we need to next offseason with us getting Bynum back?

Will it be the Rockets or Cavs who will get Bynum!?

Don't think this means much. Bynum remains the issue. He has no incentive to sign a 2 yr extension when he can just play it out and resign for 5 100 mil by waiting to free agency

Yes, glad cause Howard and Hollywood just fit together, it's all drama.
Let's hope we can get something out of it.

I don't doubt that it's true. Dwight knows Brooklyn is out of the question, so of course the "next best" for him would be the next largest market which also happens to be a great basketball situation.

What I doubt is that LA can get a deal done without our help. I feel like we have the option here of trading directly for a Dwight Howard who clearly wants to be in a larger market than Houston and may be difficult to convince otherwise, or trading for an Andrew Bynum who is a lesser player, but younger and healthier (at the moment) and will almost certainly sign an extension.

Low ball 'em, low ball 'em, low ball 'em.

With Asik being brought in and with the youth doing enough to convince even Les Alexander that a trade for Dwight or Bynum is not direly necessary, I say that Morey should only offer up just enough to have a better offer than Cleveland or any other facilitator.

When it was for Dwight and when the Rockets had no center and no point guard, I was concerned and wanted to risk a lot on a Howard trade. But now, this young team won't make the playoffs next season, but with Parsons, White, Jones, Lamb and Donatus along with Lin and Asik, this team can grow up together, go into the lottery, use the Raptors lottery pick and develop something competitive in a year or two while being fun to watch in the process.

I would still like to see a deal for Bynum, but I would not give up more than Lamb, the Dallas pick, the Toronto pick, Morris, Martin, fillers and I would not take back more than one bad contracts.

Tony Meja has been pretty reliable through this entire fiasco ... Doesn't tweet random rumors

"@TheJohnnyMalone: Think #Magic would end up taking Bynum? Or would they still send him to a third team?" Bynum wants no part of Orlando.

Give up Martin+Morris+Patterson+Toronto pick+take on the contract of Jason Richardson. for Bynum

    Bynum/Asik
    Motiejunas/Jones
    Parsons/White
    Lamb/Richardson
    Lin/Machado

I would actually say, Bynum wants no part of Orlando and Orlando wants no part of Bynum.

I'm sure they've had more than their fill of immature star centers with on the court and off the court personality problems.

More importantly, Bynum is also a downgrade for Howard while not fixing the core problems rotting away their franchise--lack of young talent, lack of financial flexibility. Are you really a championship contender with Andrew Bynum, Hedo Turkey Glue, Big Baby, Jason Richardson? Let's be real here, that team is 7th-8th seed at best, and might not even make the playoffs.

They want cap relief, they want draft picks, they want youngs. We can provide that.

    Yes he has.

And he's maintained all along he felt Dwight would end up in Houston.

So, him tweeting this may be fairly legit.
