We have always had to wait for the Asik/Lin deals to play out. Hold your horses buddy.

Either way SoulBro has NOT been particularly accurate with his predictions so far this off season.

No we didn't. Didn't you read the part that Asik/Lin's contracts have been factored into negotiations with Orlando, and we still have $9MM in cap room even with both?

Sources: Dwight Howard is ready to join Lakers. If traded to Los Angeles Howard will re-sign long-term with team after 2012-13 season.

He has connections to Dwight's people. He has been wrong repeatedly about the Brooklyn Net's pursuit of Dwight though.

If true Morey should swoop in and snatch him up before the Lakers start making serious progress. They can't sign him next year. We need a superstar Center on our team. This is our chance.

Hennigan: "Dwight, we're coming close to a deal that would send you to Houston"
Dwight: "I WILL RE-SIGN LONG TERM WITH THE LAKERS"

This guy rudolph kept tweeting about the Brooklyn trade and how it was a done deal blah blah. Apparently we all know how that ended up, and now we see he's tweeting more garbage. Wait until a credible source reports that then we can go and panic.

Can't come close to predicting odds of a trade. But La-Magic-Cavs in very early stages. Exploratory, as it's become known. Tough to pull off

So I'm guessing we're going to end up with Bynum?

Big news from @JRudolphSports re:DH. Major development for #Lakers. Expect #Rockets to facilitate any move, now or later. Depends on Bynum.

Well of course he says that. He can't go to New York anymore, it's impossible... so he moves down the list to the next largest market. Is anyone surprised?

Still doesn't matter if LA doesn't trade for him. They already have a Big Four--they don't need Howard as much as Howard needs them, nor do the have the assets Orlando wants.

I think the worst case here is that we wind up with Andrew Bynum, either in a double sign and trade NEXT offseason, or right now, depending on Morey's preference.

As sad as that sounds, I can imagine the conversation going down somewhat like that.
