It's also not about passing guys, like Rose, Paul, Westbrook, Nash, and Williams. It's more about have that type of skill set. Even in playing in the 80s or 90s, Lowry wouldn't be anywhere close to being a top tier guy.

Rose took Chicago to the conference finals by himself. Chicago couldn't even get past Philly in the first round without him.
    Westbrook had Durant and Harden.

Fact is rose blew up his knee. If I'm starting a team right now to compete for the next 3 years rose is not in my top 5. Neither is Nash. Posters mentioning his MVPs from half a decade ago need to realize Nash ain't no spring chicken and he's a liability on defense.

    Top five (no particular order)
    -CP3
    -Rondo
    -Westbrook
    -Deron Williams
    -Parker

    Next Five
    -Irving
    -Rose
    -Nash
    -Dragic
    -Rubio

Next five trying to move up
    -lowry
    -Jennings
    -John Wall
    -Step Curry
    -George Hill

Wait wait...you're underselling Rose because of his knee injury but you give a pass to CP3, a great point guard that has had his share of knee issues?

lowry is a despicable flopper. He will never be a top tier point guard in my eyes.

We're not far ahead of New York in classiness with comments like these.

Parker isn't a top 5 PG... Rose takes the place of Parker's spot.

Lowry might be be the focal point of Toronto's offense.

    I'm thinking something like 18/9.

CP3 is playing actual basketball on team USA at the moment....Rose is recovering from major knee surgery...

Different degrees of injury....so yes I am.

Also, A loss of explosion would be more detrimental to Rose than CP3..CP3 plays a more traditional style of PG…Rose is more of a scoring point guard who relays on his quickness to relentlessly attack the basket.

Lowry is going to be surrounded by young athletic players and shooters. Especially in the east, it's not absurd to think he can reach 18/9/5/2 type numbers, while getting his team the 8th spot. This of course depends on if they can get rid of Calderon.

    Bargnani
    Fields
    Valanciunas
    DeRozan
    Lowry

    Bench:
    Ross
    Johnson
    Davis
    Kleiza
    Calderon

    Not bad...
