    Would you guys consider Lin a star? Ever since Yao and TMac left we've even looking for a star. Do we have one now or no?

    Star in terms of usage rate? Probably.
    Lin is a huge isolation player.

    Star in terms of carrying our team to a championship like LeBron? Lol no.

    Depends on your definition of "star."

    If your saying the Rockets now have a household name.... Yes.

    If your saying the Rockets now have a game-changer, superstar who can take over games... No.

    Either way, it was a move that made sense given the Rockets current situation. Way too many positives to outweigh the negatives. Would much rather the Rockets aquire Lin than a burnt out, over the hill superstar like a Glen Rice.

    I wouldnt consider his playing level at STAR... but his name and ability to sell tickets is definitely at STAR level.

    I'm not saying superstar like LeBron, Durant, or Howard. Star as in Igoudala, Monta Ellis type of level

    potential to become one? yes.

    Is he one right now in his career? absolutely not. He's got much more to prove than what he did in a 25 game stretch.

    Lookin at stats only, if he can put up 18+ppg, 8+apg, and no more than 3 turnovers/game, he may be a borderline star.

    Lin is already a star, just not because of his basketball skills. Personally I think the stardom has more attractiveness than "underrated" players as we have been mulling over for ~3 yrs now.

    A high caliber player, not yet. If he's a star, so were Lowry and Dragic, Scola and Martin.

    He might become one but he's not there yet.

    The poll is 2 to 1 NOT a star. Semi-reasonable considering the context of "star".

    But there will always a voice of reason "truth sayer" expert of the board who focuses on the minority opinion to make it like its the majority. Then will say -

    "ALL these CLUTCHFANS at it again" to point the finger at people.

    Star? No lin is no star. 7 games doesnt determine whether he is a star or not. Especially against crap teams.

    Lin was only a "star" because of the team he played for and his unique story to begin with. He could put up the same numbers here but his story as an unknown fringe player has already been told and the US media wont put him on a pedestal like they did for NY. Tony Parker and Dragic did what Lin did last year on the court (better actually) and they never received their own self entitled ESPN ticker.
