From Assets to Chips! We have more "chips" than assets now.. all are playing their heart out in summer league.. and having a "chip" on their shoulders.. Lamb has a chip, Jones, White.. esp Machado not getting drafted. They laugh at us for having no point gaurds then we get Lin, He's good for the knincks but not us, Now he's going to play with a chip on his shoulder. They laugh at us for stricking out on trying to trade up but look whose laughing now? Our guys are tearing the Summer league up like Blue Chippers! I look forward for the season .. I think next year we going to play like Chip City!
A week ago they were talking about us landing Howard for: Kevin Martin,Parsons,Lamb,White,T Jones, Patterson and picks today the Cavs are offering Varejao and a bunch of awful picks coming from Lakers and Cavs which probably end up in the 12-16 range bc a Bynum,Irving,Waiters,Thompson core is not that bad So the question I ask is..... Anderson Varejao and picks = Martin,Parson,Lamb,White,Jones,Patterson + picks or Did the Magic Lower their asking price.....ESPN is also making no mention of any of this David,Turkoglu,Richardson BS now in the Dwight unloading
I feel you. How can the organization boast about all these assets we supposedly have and then get outbid by the Cavs. If we dont Bynum then this offseason is a failure
If I were the GM I would tell the Magic, here is my best offer. You have 72 hours to accept. After that we take the offer off the table permanently! This will cut all the BS out!!
72hrs from the time we give the magic GM the offer in his hand or just getting it to their main office reception?
Why this wont happen is bc the Rockets were desperate to attain a player of star value...Lin...has the "appeal" but is clearly not on the level of a Dwight... Rockets will wait bc it has the luxury to wait...but I expect once the season starts...Houston will shut it down till the trade deadline...just imo
Neither deal is real. Houston has a deal, but it isn't the whole farm. Orlando wouldn't be taking back Varajeo.
As I see it: Hennigan thinks Morey fell off the turnip truck. Morey thinks everyone but himself fell off the turnip truck. But all joking aside, it would be in Hennigan's best interest to wait or to drag this out as long as possible.
Longer he waits, the less he gets. If the rental buzz is true (which it is)...waiting until trade deadline....he'll be lucky to just gets draft picks at that point.
The Magic have been most interested in Houston's package from the start. They don't want a Bynum who won't resign and no team can offer nearly as much. All these other stories are just smokescreens
