dave2K is a great guy and I would take his word for it, but if he is a REAL insider it would be a great idea if he communicated with Clutch for the ultimate confirmation.
I don't buy it for a second. The picks Orlando wants, I presume, would be lottery picks - which Cleveland won't have with Irving/Bynum. Also, Varejao isn't expiring. The Cavs may want it to happen and are happy to play along, but this screams leverage. Martin + Toronto pick + Lamb as a foundation is better than anything Cleveland can put together.
Yeah it sounds like the needs he mentioned are the same things the Rockets have already been offering. Cavs almost just catching up to even instead of being a front runner. I really don't want to hand out a Royce White or Chandler Parsons piece to pull ahead, not for Bynum. But maybe thats what happens. Okay maybe I'll hold back on the CF "dap" until verification
At all cost here you keep Lamb. I feel like he is a deal breaker. I don't see the point in selling the farm for Howard. Bad backs do not go away. And without a promise of resigning, let's get the 24 year old Bynum. He will get all the touches and will thrive having Mchale as a coach.
Wow, it seems more and more like Asik is ours. Morey just on the verge of realizing two consecutive great coups withe RESTRICTED FA. Just awesome ! If Bynum comes too, GM of the year !!!
Worst case scenario we build with Lin, Asik, and the rookies who have all showed promise. Not a bad worse case scenario if you ask me.
Absolutely, and wiyh the cap space and the more assets to come, try our hardest to land atleast one superstar.
Yep, this. Just really hard to believe considering, on the face of it, our offer ****s all over Cleveland's offer in every way imaginable.
I don't know about that. The Cavs can offer their own 2 first rounders (no guarantee Bynum sticks around, so they could be lotto picks), they have 2 Miami Heat 1st rounders and they have the Kings 1st rounder, and the ability to flip any of their 2013 picks for the Lakers 1st pick. The Kings pick is protected, I think lotto for this year and Top-10 moving forward, but when it expires it becomes a 2nd round pick (I think 2016), and it is always possible the Kings will pick in the top 10 until then. They also have Dion Waiters, Tristan Thompson and Tyler Zeller.
Man I'm sick of reading these uninformed post over and over. If you are going to post here at least take the time to read around so you don't waste everyones time and make yourself look so stupid!
I am so freaking sick and tired of this particular line of non-reasoning. Anyone who says this type of thing again in the future regarding Lin & the Roockets is an IDIOT. It's like this dude: Imagine you have a plot of scrubland out in West Texas somewhere. Lots of cactus and some deer, not much else. So, you decide to sell it. AFTER you sell it, the person you sold it to had to have a survey done, and discovered there were some seriously valuable mineral rights, some oil, just a bunch of stuff in the ground, and now all of a sudden, that land you just sold for peanuts is now worth millions. You didn't make a mistake selling it. You didn't know what the future held, obviously if you did, you wouldn't have sold it. Now you thin the land is valuable enough that you should try to buy it back. You are going to pay what the land is currently worth, in the hope that your investment will pay off. The prior price is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT. It's not 'making up for a mistake'. People need to stop saying that about Lin's time in Houston. Had Morey cut Flynn and kept Lin, first of all Lin more than likely would not have blown up, AT ALL. Second, we would not have had a way to get Camby from Portland. And Camby turned into a big haul from our favorite pigeon, NYK. Fact is, if we had not cut Lin, we would more than likely never even considered him for the role he now has, and he would not be about to become rich, there would be no Linsanity coming to Houston, etc etc etc. SO STOP IT. Sometimes, things work out for the best, but they take a winding path to get there.
I have a question for Rockets fans. If Rockets have Dwight Howard in mind for so long dating back to last season, why Rockets are making a move for Asik? Did that lower the offer that Rockets can for Dwight?
