We still have to see how they do in regular NBA game thats just summer league though and I hope they can play like that but we still dont know
So Hennigan will engage in this three team trade that will only diminish what Orlando will receive because he doesn't want to get blacklisted by an agent. Okay, just making sure.
If we're doing the 3 way trade that will obviously benefit the Lakers the most (Howard to LA, Bynum 2 Houston), we are giving cap space (2 bad contracts in, Martin out), the picks & some not so wanted prospects (Patterson, Morris) and THAT's ALL ! The Lakers should get back the lesser bad contract (Duhon) and send to Orlando the upside type guy (who could that be???). This year's draft pick should be UNTOUCHABLE !!! Absolutely if need be, send them Jones. There's no one like White, we got lucky to find a rare package like that, it's OUR luck ! The inside force we'll be getting will need a real star on the wing, again we got lucky to have Lamb, a special talent and character to fall all the way to the n°12 pick. OUR luck, don't have to waste it! If nothing can't be done, just wait until the trade deadline (Asik contract) or more likely the 2013 Free Agency, one of those top 2 centers will be attainable through draft day trade or Sign & Trade with the good draft picks we'll have. The Rockets are in a dream situation, the one the Orlando GM can only dream of right now; No need to waste it. Lin with the youngsters will help sell tickets and excitement until the end of the season, and then from 2013-2014, BOOM, the lift-off for a 10 year mission. WE DON'T HAVE TO PAY 4 THE LAKERS BENFIT.
It is true that any 3-way that involves Houston, where LA gets Dwight, that LA benefits more than us. They simply have nothing more than Bynum to give. We'd be the team doing the heavy lifting, making LA better. We'd be paying Dwight prices while LA gets Dwight. Love Bynum, but I'm not so sure we shouldnt just try and make a run at him in free agency. I don't mind LA getting Dwight. They're gonna contend for the next 3 years anyway. But I don't want us to overpay to make them better, while they get off easy because they already shot their load on Nash.
If they are saying it's just Cav's picks and Varajao then the Rockets should stand firm and not give up any of their young guns and just trade Martin someone else and a few picks. No need to mortgage all of our youth.
Tony Mejia: After 48 hour moratorium, Rockets offer sheet to Omer Asik goes otut. Sources say Bulls will take full 3 days to decide whether to match. about 7 minutes ago
Tony Mejia: In fact, count on #Rockets trying to spin the global appeal of #Linsanity as a tool for Dwight Howard to rebuild his image. about 10 minutes ago
The Jeremy Lin saga started for the Rockets when they let Lin go when they could have signed him for peanuts. Now, after admitting to making the mistake they are paying a whopping $8million per year to compensate for that very expensive mistake. That is what this is about. No genius move here.
Morey is having the upper hand in any deal right now unless he wants to make a deal at all cost, which would be downright stupid. LA needs us and Orlando needs us unless Cavs come in but I don't see that happening. If it does, more power to all of them and we can finally rebuild.
