To be fair, Scola NEEDED to be off this team before the season started. But it does seem like maybe we could've got something for him.

Not entirely the case. Save $ and give more playing time to our (many?) power forwards of the future.

I'm with C.H. on this one.

Hey CyberX, do you think the Bulls will drag it out ala Knicks? Or just announce it as soon as they decide?

Appreciate the info. I can tell you have a certain insider perspective.

Morey may like Bynum but he likes Dwight way better and the thing is if he acquires Dwight, the Lakers are mostly locked into keeping Bynum. Bynum has no reason to want to go to Orlando and lose for 3 years. And Orlando has no reason to want him for that. And there is simply no way that Morey is willing to give up as much and take on as much salary for Bynum as he is for Dwight.

I'm sure the powers that be want to get Dwight to LA. But it is simply not going to happen unless Morey changes his mind and decides he wants Bynum more.

If Orlando wants Lamb, TJones or White...NO DEAL!! Morey needs to play hardball..it's either our deal or somebody elses worse deal...No way we should give up ANY of OUR rookies. Orlando can pick their OWN rookies with the picks we give them.

    Martin Expiring
    1st Toronto Pick
    1st Houston Pick
    1st Dallas Pick
    2 2nd Rounders
    Morris and/orPatterson

Plus we take back their bad contracts

    TAKE IT OR LEAVEIT!!

Not really. I'm already excited at what the Rockets have. Lin, Lamb, Donatas, and White. Not to mention the high draft picks. I honestly can't wait for the season to start. Even if they struggle and finish worst in the league.

Don't care about Les' bank account. If they wanted to open up playing time or tank, they could have traded Scola and gotten something in return.

    No, he didn't.

But good job being mature with the name calling.

They can have Dwight and Bynum. I don't even care anymore. I'm completely fine with this roster (plus Asik) going ahead.

It's going to be a tough road, but as a fan, I'm willing to go down it if it means they are completely committing to the rebuilding route.

I am also with C.H. on this one.

Maybe not rational sine I have been watching summer league in person and greatly impressed with Lamb, Jones and White and don't know if I want to be rooting for Bynum, who is kind of a punk. But I say just run our guys out there and live with the results. If they get into the playoffs, great. If they are in the lotto, then use that pick wisely.

    yeah, guy... he did:

one would have figured someone so suspicious of the OP's claims would've at least bothered to read his posts before implying he's a fraud.

He hasn't explained how/why Dwight is Houston's Plan A and Houston is Orlando's Plan A, yet the Lakers end up with Dwight.

Please post exactly where he has explained this.
