Thanks Cyberx. Great info. Do you think adding Lin would steer Adidas to persuade Howard to come to Houston since they may open up his Asian market?
I really hope we get Bynum, or at the least Asik. If Dwight doesn't want to go to LA and have a really good chance at winning a championship immediately. Then why would he want to come to Houston? I mean, I would love for him to play here but it just seems like a waste of time. Plus we'd have to trade players like Parsons, Lamb, and Donatas who I'm really starting to like. I want to see what they can do at NBA level.
Hope he's cools with still coming off the bench, Apuldnt be shocked if he signed expecting to be the starter
I doubt it. If Dwight wanted to go to LA it would have been a done deal. Also, Bynum doesn't want to sign long term with Orlando so that doesn't help matters.
From a business standpoint this makes too much sense .....if I was a Rep for adidas I would surely let him know that he could possibly be bigger than yao was overseas. Which puts him directly into the international spotlight immediately, which I assume he wants from prior reports. He wins if he comes ....no doubt
Seems like, at this point, ORL has lost all leverage, so they can have good players but not potentially great ones. I feel like the LA talks are being floating to try to obtain some leverage in negotiations, but the fact of the matter is that LA would need a third team to provide the draft picks and young talent to get Howard. so unless they Magic also really, really value Goudeluck, or are OK with getting Bynum and starting this process all over again, then they will take what we give them, so long as it includes expiring contracts (Martin) and either that Toronto lottery pick + filler, or 2 of our draft picks from this year + the Dallas first + a future HOU first (would have to be 2015, since we can't trade consecutive picks and we gave up our rights to our 2013. i know the pick is protected, but if we get Howard we'll be in the playoffs so the pick would be transferred to ATL). I don't think, however, that Morey will trade Motiejunas or Lamb. Both have all-star ceilings (Motie can be a pau gasol in his prime player, and Lamb can be kobe-like, but this is purely talking from a scoring standpoint) and are already showing flashes of brilliance, albeit in the summer league.
I say ignore them. In every aspect of life there will always be D-bags that will want to go against the grain just to say they did and talk smack. (Stephen A Smith for example) The majority of us know how to take what we see on this board for what it is and don't go around flaming people. They can eat crow at the end of the day for talking smack or they just disappear into the piece of crap hole they came out of.
So basically, what I'm getting out of this is that a freaking AGENT is able to bring 3 teams to their knees?? Fegan can **** himself.
Lakers and Cavs and Magic talking 3 team trade again reports say that the Cavs in front of the Rockets right now ... http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8...rs-trade-partner-potential-dwight-howard-deal
Dwight doesn't want to go to a franchise with a history of great centers. He says he wants to make his own mark, or so he says. I think he's afraid of comparisons. Morey will likely trade away all of the rooks anyway. If not in a Dwight or Bynum deal, then in the next one to get better players to surround the new center. Morey doesn't want to give up Lamb, Parsons, ect now...he wants them for the next deal. I don't like it, but its what's coming.
is it really that difficult to put together or are you stupid? do you think ANY of this is set in stone or that this could be - just may be - a fluid situation w several potential outcomes?? odds are the rockets brass prefer dwight, but if they get the feeling that he wont sign and/or that they could potentially get bynum long term for less then that is clearly an option they will heavily explore. i swear half you people are completely void of any critical thinking.
Agreed. It works for all teams and the Rockets walk away with draft picks, good young players, and Jeremy Lin.
This "insider" still hasn't explained how Dwight is Houston's Plan A and Houston is Orlando's Plan A, yet the Lakers end up with Dwight. And Morey would have amnestied Scola for nothing
